Kailef says: An interesting story is the primary attraction to this game. Engine wise, it's basically like playing a console "Final Fantasy" style RPG around the era of FF7. It's fun if you enjoy those sorts of games, and it'll frustrate you otherwise.
Kailef says: Although maybe not as polished as some of the triple-A RPG titles from BioWare, this is nonetheless an epic tale, with incredible attention to detail. (Although I could do without the Quick Time Events)
Kailef says: Occasionally frustrating, occasionally confusing, but amazingly fun, this "Infinity Engine" based game designed by Black Isle Studios is arguably the best game of it's type. Like Baldur's Gate, I suggest using the available high resolution mods
Kailef says: Fallout and it's successor Fallout 2 are probably the best isometric view RPGs ever made, if for no other reason than the storytelling. Plus, you get to saw people in half with a minigun. Where's the problem with that? None that I can see.
Kailef says: Just as good as the first, except maybe for the first 20 or 30 minutes of gameplay. Awesome story. Sporting a somewhat improved engine and the ability to scroll the screen when paused and trade with your hirelings, this is one of the best.
Kailef says: *Horribly* lacking in story compared to Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, I recommend this game to those of you who enjoyed the tactical combat aspect of the first two games but really wasn't interested in the plot. Not my favorite, but good for what it is.
Kailef says: Using the same engine (albeit modified somewhat) as Fallout 1 and 2, this game had lots of potential. After a very interesting beginning, though, the game turns basically into a combat oriented game, and the story takes a back seat.
Kailef says: BioWare's "Infinity Engine" drives most of Black Isle Studios RPG offerings is quite capable even today when modded up to run at high resolutions. The engine isn't the star, though, it's the excellent storytelling that makes this game.
Kailef says: I had a bit of trouble with some of the English translations in this game, but many of the rough edges are polished out here in the Enhanced Edition. Despite a good storyline, though, the game still sometimes doesn't make as much sense as I'd like.
Kailef says: I badly wanted to like this game. The graphics are impressive, and it had great potential, but I personally never felt immersed in the world. The NPCs and story just seem too contrived for me to take it seriously.
Kailef says: Dungeons and Dragons equivalent of Fallout Tactics. Good if you enjoy combat using the Infinity Engine. Not so good if you're looking for an engaging plot line.
Kailef says: Included for the sake of completeness, but there's nothing to say about Icewind Dale 2 that I didn't already say about the original Icewind Dale. Infinity Engine combat with very little story.
Kailef says: Although the premise was promising, the story elements of this game are silly, and fade into nothingness as you continue to play through the game. My advice: Don't.
Kailef says: Nothing to see here, move along. But seriously, no story here. This is a Diablo II clone, with less of a story than Diablo II.... And that's saying something. I'd rate it three stars except that it's just a little too boring to warrant it.
Kailef says: More Diablo II style hack and slash, although maybe a little bit better executed than Divine Divinity, at least as far and the engine goes.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
