Games with Strong Female Characters18votes I like it
tothelighthouse says: One of the best female characters in a game. April comes across as a real person with desires and dreams of her own, as well as a whole heap of flaws. April sets the bar for female protagonists in gaming.
tothelighthouse says: TLJ continues its tradition of strong female leads in Dreamfall. Although the characters don't have the same depth as TLJ, they're still way more 3-dimensional than female characters normally are in video games.
tothelighthouse says: Jade is up there as one of the best heroes in gaming, female or otherwise.
tothelighthouse says: Kate Walker is a good female lead.
tothelighthouse says: King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella was one of the first major graphical games that had you playing a female character.
tothelighthouse says: King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride allows you to play both Rosella AND Queen Valanice. I can't think of another game which has a middle-aged female protagonist.
tothelighthouse says: Grace Nakamura, although not playable in this game, is a strong supporting character with a distinct personality. Unfortunately her entire motivation is to help Gabriel.
tothelighthouse says: Grace becomes a playable character in the 2nd Gabriel Knight game, although sadly her personality becomes more 2-dimensional. She has even less of her own motivations in this game and is entirely focussed on Gabriel.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
