Eli says: After starting a list of every game with goblins on GOG, I decided I should narrow it down and recommend those I think the best. It came out to exactly 10 games. "Gobliiins" makes the cut as one of my favorites.
Eli says: Jon Van Caneghem (JVC) has been inducted into every notable gaming Hall Of Fame based mostly on his creation of these six games. Every one of them was revolutionary upon its release, and collectively, these are the best six games on GOG.
Eli says: No strategy game short of C&C or Warcraft has ever been so precisely and continuously cloned as this one. After laying a solid foundation with the original Heroes, this 2nd try was JVC's masterpiece. Its structure (Goblin Hut?) may never be eclipsed.
Eli says: I had "Heroes Chronicles" on here too, but this one really has more than enough campaigns already. Easily the pinnacle of the Heroes series, a variety of goblins and goblin situations, and though a bit different, it's every bit as good as Heroes 2.
Eli says: Two schools of thought for RPGs: imagination or story-based. "Might and Magic" has always been from the school of imagination, forcing you to fill-in the blanks. You might think that after six games, it would be hard to do that better. Think again.
Eli says: The other school of thought for RPGs is to base them on a story as rich and detailed as possible. Though many tried, the Ultima series hit that mark first. The first three were simple dungeon-crawlers, but Richard Garriott's 4th was a masterpiece.
Eli says: If you liked the 4th game, you should definitely pick up the Ultima 4+5+6 Trilogy. I only left it off this list because it's really just more of the same. This one, however, is one of the largest and greatest RPGs ever made. And so many goblins...
Eli says: I can't bear to rate RPGs like this one. I refuse to be analytic about a hard-to-define personal experience. But I can't possibly leave it off this list. An amazing, classic, highly-polished RPG powerhouse with great scenes and great voice acting.
Eli says: Sort of a cross between Fallout, Thief, and Ultima 7. A steam-punk RPG set in some sort of 1890s Elfin fever-dream. There's plenty of classic fantasy elements, including good old goblins (GOG?), in this absolutely mind-blowing stone-cold masterpiece.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
