n8mahr says: I did not play it back then, but only 2 years ago with a high-res patch. It IS one of the best ISO RPGs I know, and it was a pleasure to get immersed in it´s world. Still absolutely worth playing - for a good gameplay mechanics never grow old!

n8mahr says: Castles was one of my first games complely in english (I am german), so I had a hard time figuring out what everything ment with my limited vocab. But I think it was worth the toil, since Castles is a very quick and fun medieval themed building sim.

n8mahr says: Since DSA (a RP-system), or ROA, as it is called in english, is known almost exclusively to german Pen&Paper gamers, these games were big almost exclusively in Germany. But not being another D&D rules based game is NOT necesserily a bad thing! ;)
