JMScion says: Quite possibly the best use of an interactive narrative ever! Introduced this 5-hour adventure to two friends who were both skeptics. Two days later, we were having philosophical discussions about the moon and a platypus. Get the soundtrack too!
JMScion says: With its surprising real-world puzzle logic and an animation style that has aged remarkably well, even your most skeptical friends will want to dive deeper into the mysteries of Robert Cath after that first challenge.
JMScion says: The charm of a Pixar movie meets the gameplay of... well... a Pixar movie.
JMScion says: Myst is the game originally credited with turning intellectuals into gamers in the era of high scores. Even though the graphics haven't aged well, the art design is just as enthralling as it was two decades ago.
JMScion says: Slightly less H. G. Wells-ish than the original, but even more depth and intrigue. The groundbreaking graphics still look photorealistic today, to the point where it feels like viewing a "Google Street View" on another planet.
JMScion says: Less complex than Baldur's Gate yet far more literary. Great for your friends who would just rather read a book, since this game is probably written better than what they're reading.
JMScion says: I'd personally recommend the more recent Simcity 4 Deluxe for your gameophobic friends, but Simcity 2000 found its place on the desktops of every cubicle dweller and city official in the mid-90's (which apparently includes Herman Cain).
JMScion says: The original game itself won't win over the curmudgeons in your circle of friends, but the immense selection of player-made adventures completely transforms Neverwinter Nights into whatever they want, from Star-Trek adventures to horror stories.
JMScion says: Anybody who ever hugged a Furby will have a hard time turning away from these adorable desktop gremlins. But don't gift this one to your friends if you aren't willing to help them decipher an interface built like a Hollywood editing program.
JMScion says: The visuals in this oddball adventure have not aged well, but the quirky story and approachable, often comical puzzles invite all to sit down and spend an evening in Manor Stauf.
JMScion says: Final Fantasy VII this ain't, but an accessible combat system and a story that constantly plays with your expectations makes this one of the best RPGs for non-gamers on the PC platform. Bonus points for letting you easily access the soundtrack.
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
