GOGmix by Glasswolf's avatarGlasswolf 1vote

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obs...

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A unique RPG exploring the interaction of magic and technology in a Victorian era Tolkeinesque world. Brilliant dialouge and plot with immense freedom to do as you wish; Fallout with dapper orcs.

Avernum: The Complete Saga

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Captures you from the get go in a sprawling well thought out series. Whilst there are some mis steps here and there (like some games without respawning enemies), the game features good dialouge, many secret areas and quests. An enjoyable RPG.

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A classic RPG, even if the dialouge is very typical fantasy fare. The plot is one of 90's gaming's finest, and features romance options, unique and interesting companions, and enjoyable side quests at times spanning the series. Not the Enhanced Edt.

Baldur's Gate 2 Complete

The Banner Saga

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: FFT/Fire Emblem style strategy game with decision making elements, directing a very atmospheric plot. Characters can live or die. Tactics matter.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A shockingly addictive platformer. Very linear, a bit short, and sometimes the humor is very hit and miss, but at the same time a charming lunch break game that you'll complete over the course of your work week.

Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: One of the best thought out games concerning consequence and plot, with enjoyable gameplay allowing a variety of styles as you traverse a future where conspiracy is only the begining.

removeupdown
or

Dungeon Keeper Gold™

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A humorous sim management classic; a role reversal where you are the big bad, in control of a series of dungeons. Copied many times, but none compete with either it's depth, atmosphere, or charm.

or

Evil Genius

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Become a Bond villain and do what they couldn't; TAKE OVER THE WORLD. A fun sim that has you leading an evil empire from a remote island locale. Unique, addictive. Needs a sequel.

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy)

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Cinematic gameplay with a focus on a diverging plot. Play what equates to a well written, interactive movie about cults, murder, friendship and the ultimate answer...

or

Gangsters: Organized Crime

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Criminally overlooked game; a mob management sim with depth, economy, and most of all - freedom. Omerta only wishes it could reach this level of quality; it's a must have.

removeupdown
or

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Complete with romance options, branching dialouge, character quests, impact to decision, and some fun expansions too. Dialouge *much* more natural than NN1. Read the synopsis for story deets.

or

Planescape: Torment

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: One of 90's gaming's best RPG experiences. Plot with meaning, and memorable side characters in a truely realised world...well. Worlds. A must have.

removeupdown
or

POSTAL 2 Complete

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: GTA with gusto. Very violent, very sexual, very adult but vastly immature and satirical at the same time. Arguably one of the best 'run around and kill whatever' games made; a great stress reliever. But not for the faint of heart - eg. Cat Silencer.

removeupdown
or

RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill...

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A theme park management sim with an astounding amount of depth. This and 3 are comparable in my eyes, but 3 has more features; 2 however, in my opinion, is more visually appealing and features detailed, scenic maps and rides you can edit.

removeupdown
or

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum!

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A graphical update to a great series, adding some much wanted and needed features. It's a classic theme park management sim with depth and amazing customisation options. Get this and RT2 for a mind blowing experience.

or

Theme Hospital

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A hospital management sim filled with humor, challenge, and fun. Control everything from building to disease research, staff and wage, patient treatment...a Bullfrog classic.

removeupdown
or

Tomb Raider 1+2+3

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: Brilliant platforming action revolutionary at it's time. 1 and 2 are the best entries in the entire franchise, 2013 reboot included. Actual mental challenge, combined with enjoyable gun play! Imagine that.

removeupdown
or

Vampire The Masquerade - Redemption

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: A good, if linear RPG with a decent plot, all set in the Old World of Darkness setting. Whilst certainly fun, checking out the vastly superior Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines may be something to consider; shame it's not on Gog. Yet.

removeupdown
or

Wing Commander ®: Privateer ™

Glasswolf's rating:
250

Glasswolf says: One of the first, and best, Space Sim games. First person cockpit view where you're a pilot out to do whatever it takes to make some cash and follow a loose plot line. Heavy trading and combat mechanics that really mesh well; an immersive experience.

Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)

Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!

So, what are the ingredients?

Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?

Justify your choice... Or not!

OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
