Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: How can you not like this game? It was ahead of it's time when it was released and still is a very fun game that likely laid the foundation for games like the "Broken Sword" series as well as "Beyond Good And Evil." In my opinion anyway.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obs...

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: I loved this game. When it first was released, I was big into D&D type games, but had also discovered Steampunk. This was pure gaming goodness.

Arx Fatalis

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Despite it's many bugs, this game was a blast to play and had a story that rivaled any in video games of the day. The Spell casting system was unique and still unmatched in any game I have played since. Only gave it 3 stars because it is quite buggy

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: What can you say that hasn't been said about this game? BG was the game that redefined D&D on the PC. It paved the way for many more games to come.

Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: This is another of my favorites. I was heart broken when I learned that my copy no longer works on newer OS's (Vista / 7), but now that I see GoG has it, I may have to buy this one and play it again.

Gothic

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: I must start off by saying that this game has THE quirkiest control scheme ever. If you can get over that, this game is truly a gem. Great story with wonderful characters.

King's Quest 7+8

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: A lot of people whined and complained about KQ 8, but I have to say, I really liked it. If I remember, it came out right around the time Ultima 9 came out. And this game was WAY better.

Longest Journey, The

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Another great adventure game that was unmatched in it's time. It had a serious storyline but was not at all short on wit, charm or suspense.

removeupdown

MDK 2

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: So this is more of an action game than an adventure, but it had some aspects of adventure gaming in it as well. And the humor in this game was outstanding.

removeupdown

Planescape: Torment

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Probably my favorite Infinity Engine game, though BG2 (not available yet on GOG) is awfully good as well. But this game had something NO other Infinity game had: A TON of wit while still having the deeply intelligent storyline the genre requires.

Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: This is another often overlooked game. This is for fans of JRPGs and is every bit as good as the big games in this genre such as the infamous Final Fantasy series and the Shin Megami Tensei series.

removeupdown

Space Quest 1+2+3

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: If you humor is your thing, Space Quest is your series.

removeupdown

Space Quest 4+5+6

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: If you humor is your thing, Space Quest is your series.

removeupdown

Syberia

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Another great game. Not a steampunk game, but it reminds me of the genre in that it relies on steam powered automatons and clockwork machinery.

removeupdown

Syberia 2

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: I loved Syberia 1 and was almost afraid they'd blow it with the sequel. I was wrong. I was glad.

removeupdown

Tex Murphy: Overseer

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Great game. It really was. But...what happened next? I'll tell you what happened. Microsoft happened. Jerks.

removeupdown

Tex Murphy: The Pandora Directive

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: Of all the Tex Murphy games, this was by far my favorite.

removeupdown

Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon

Midiboy's rating:
250

Midiboy says: The first Tex Murphy game that I enjoyed. I didn't like the first two. Sorry TM fans.

Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)

Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!

So, what are the ingredients?

Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?

Justify your choice... Or not!

OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
