aged well...2votes I like it
ovideh says: this must have been the 3rd game i have bought myself for pc back in the 90's and it's still one of the best ever made. the graphics just won't lose its charm after decades and the gameplay is just unique. often copied but never reached.
ovideh says: like dungeon keeper, this game will eat up time like nothing. don't let the simple graphics mislead you, the game is quite complex but still easy to learn. this gem has hardly any competitors.
ovideh says: i never liked the UI of simcity, but the gameplay is flawless and the pixel-graphics are timeless. if you never played the series, start with this one and the others won't matter...
ovideh says: one of the greatest city builder ever made. if you like this you probably like also zeus or pharaoh, similar games by the same developer.
ovideh says: tropico is hilarious. you're the dictator of a tropical island, managing your little state as you see fit. one of the greatest political sims ever created...
ovideh says: i have to include dark reign because it came out some time before starcraft and got forgotten after SC released... it's actually a pretty nice multiplayer game with some neat mechanics to it. played red alert and starcraft? give this one a try!
ovideh says: similar to dark reign, battle realms got forgotten because of WC3. nevertheless this game is really outstanding. the mechanics were unique and even today you will find it refrashing to play. its one of the games just made for competitive multiplayer.
ovideh says: like settlers II this part of hom&m is my most memorable. you can sink some serious time in this without getting bored. from here on the series got a little dull too, so check this out first.
ovideh says: well the king of the hill is heroes of might & magic 3, but disciples 2 has its own magic to offer. if you can't get enough of heroes try this one. the 2D-graphics and animations are just amazing.
ovideh says: much like dungeon keeper this game has aged very well. the 2D graphics are great and the gameplay will hook you up for days. beside that it has great score and some hilarious dialogues.
ovideh says: this is another little gem that got somehow forgotten. commandos is tactics in its purest form. the UI is unique, graphics are timeless. a game easy to learn but hard to master. like x-com or hitman? try this, you probably love it.
ovideh says: holy shit, this includes INCUBATION. get it NOW. incubation is one of the best turn-base games ever made and it has multiplayer, what other reason do you need? even the single-player was outstanding, nice learning-curve too. get it!
ovideh says: you probably will enjoy every secound of this game. controls and level-design are just awesome, the music and atmosphere will hook you up immediately. only the "god of war" series will reach its quality.
ovideh says: practically this is a duke nukem clone with a asian template. you can expect cheesy one-liners, some nice 2D-sushi-gore animations and bizarre weapons (the fire-shooting severed head of an enemy).
Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)
Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!
So, what are the ingredients?
Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?
Justify your choice... Or not!
OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
