Overview:
A war is brewing in Aventásia.
During the eternal struggle of the Alliance of Free Races against the Army

The funniest and most charming adventure game released in recent years

The Book of Unwritten Tales goes well beyond what we have gotten used to from developers like Telltale. The atmosphere is simply wonderful, and the world is filled with characters that you come to love and remember. It's cliché, sure, but it's meant to be. It's like a fairytale with a lot of character, and with good humour. The puzzles may be a bit on the easy side, but they areread more all logical and work well. I never got stuck once, but didn't find it boring either. The English voiceovers are great. None of them feel out of place or forced, and some have great character.
It's surely on par with the Lucasarts classics, and it does many things right that other 3D adventure games have failed to accomplish. The graphics and artstyle leave no room for complaints, and the music is top-notch.
The issues are minor; there are a couple of barely noticable bugs, and I feel like there could be more and better animations. And I wish it was 50 hours longer.

How clichés can make up a good story

My friend plays point and click adventures and he recommended this game to me. After having played through the game I can honestly say that it sets a great atmosphere.
The graphics look beautiful and add to the set atmosphere. The music is done nicely as well. The english voice acting is good and the game has a good length. Without spoiling anything, the game has a lot of humorread more that can be compared to Monkey Island. There's outside the box dialogue. All in all a beauty of a game, a nice story with quite a bit of humor.

Wrong release date, but fine game

It's not a new game, it's older than many people think. That's why although it is not extremely popular it has quite a strong fan base. And for a good reason. It's one of the best adventures in terms of funny characters and story telling. The rest like puzzles or graphics are not so outstanding but kind of support the good game. I really liked it a lot when I played it years ago and I consider rebuying here.
