Odd things are happening at the SoulStorm Brewery. It seems that the evil Glukkons are using Mudokon tears as a key ingredient to their best-selling beverage, SoulStorm Brew. And they'll stop at nothing to get them, for torturing the Mudokons is their preferred lifestyle!
Abe's peaceful retirement was shattered when visited by a vision from the Three Weirdos. Abe learned the Magog Cartel was mining Necrum, the sacred Mudokon city of the dead, to collect bones to make super-addictive SoulStorm Brew.
After freeing the Mudokon spirits imprisoned in the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults, Abe gained scary powers from the Weirdos, including the ability to heal his Mudokon friends of SoulStorm addiction, and the power to turn invisible. Infiltrating the transportation hub of FeeCo Depot, and using explosive farts to survive adventures at the Slig Barracks and Bonewerks, Abe broke into SoulStorm Brewery.
Once again, it's up to Abe to save his race, with just his loincloth, chants and wits. Not to mention a bad case of gas. Sound odd? Welcome back to Oddworld.

Played Exoddus on the Playstation, and it kicked my butt like no tomorrow. Thankfully, the logical structure of level and puzzle design makes sure that you *can* beat each challenge. Rescuing every last Mudokon, however, is clinically insane to attempt without a walkthrough.
The oddball sense of humor is sometimes fun, and sometimes jarring. Still, nothing else looks or soundsread more like Oddworld games, and that's ultimately Exoddus' greatest strength. Oh, and no box puzzles. That's definately a plus. :)

There are a lot of little improvements over Abe's Oddysee here, and although you may not notice them if you haven't played the original, they still make this game a worthy purchase. The possession is still marvelous fun, and has been expanded somewhat, the GameSpeak has been improved, the platforming and puzzling are still as challenging as ever, and when it ends you wish it went on longer. Highly reccomended.
