An adventure that defined Adventure Game for me!

The Broken Sword Series is full of everything you'd want from a point-and-click adventure game. Witty dialog, beautiful art design, intriguing puzzles (that make sense), and characters that you absolutely fall in love with.
Broken Sword 2 continues to deliver the intriguing historically inspired mystery that the first game set as a tone. Think The DaVinci Code but with less self-flagellantread more monks. This time through George and Nico, the main characters, try and figure out the significance of a Mayan artifact that finds it's way into their possession.
Should you start with the first Broken Sword? The answer is yes. The first game introduces a ton of reoccurring characters and settings that you won't be able to appreciate without first playing it's predecessor.
This game is up there in quality with Full Throttle and the Monkey Island series. I have played it over and over and am sure that this game will be just as good for a first time player as it is for someone who played it when it first came out!

A fantastic Adventure that needs to be played

Broken Sword 2 is the most thrilling and most catching of all the series. As George Stobbart you are again immediately plunged into a life-changing escapade.
Once again Revolution Software proved that they are the masters of adventure with this enthralling title, the story is gripping and unexpected yet somewhat exaggerated. The gameplay is simple and the threat is real.
The puzzlesread more will have you puzzling, the spine-chiller of a story will get you chilling and the inspiring dialogue will leave you inspired.

Solid adventure game

A solid, very traditional adventure game with excellent voice acting and some great writing. The puzzles are usually logical, but some suffer from only having one (very linear) solution, occasional pixel-hunting, etc. The Broken Sword series is about the only adventure game franchise that measures up to Lucasarts' heydey, so if you're looking for a Fate of Atlantis-style adventure game, that's pretty much what you get here.
