Adventure games are a guilty pleasure for me. This is the easiest one in the Atlantis series and that makes for some relaxing fun and enjoyment. I hate Adventure games with illogical, hard puzzles that ae frustrating and break the mood of the game. Atlantis 3 is not like that. With nice graphics and music and a good story line, this is like playing a Sci-Fi Novella.
A niceread more late evening or weekend game and a good intro to adventure gaming. Well worth the low price here at GOG.

The plot goes a bit rampant and the game trades the unique ancient civilization atmosphere of it's predecesors for sci-fi and fairytale themes. But the atmosphere is still the thing you're coming to this game for. Some of the locations and stories are great (ice-age mammoth hunters indeed), and the music is again quite good.
The quality of the puzzles varies greatly: The bad consistread more of annoying, vague pixel-hunts and some truly bizarre minigames; the good are some of the larger collect-the-puzzle-pieces-and-put-them-together type puzzles and some of the timed action-y puzzles.
Anyway, if you liked other games in the series, try this one out. It's neither worse nor better than the others. If you've never played a game in this series, maybe try it out. But I personally prefer the first and second games in the series over this one. The sci-fi angle and the direction the series' story took since this game kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

The series staples, it great complex story, and amazing graphics and sound are simply gone in this game.
The story is just bad, the the graphics and sound simply OK. The gameplay is the easiest of the series thus far, and I think is probably the must fun gameplay of the series to date, as well.
All-round, decent game, at absolute best, and a big disappointment for this fan of the previous games.
