After creating myself a team to play, I jumped in to a standard match (no options changed).
First problem....I had to alt-tab out of the game and click back in to it before my keyboard inputs were recognized (this happens every time a new round starts).
Second thing is that I have only completed 1 round without the game hanging (I then have to open task manager to end the task). So far matches have frozen twice when I fire punched an enemy into the water (game froze just as worm hit the water) and once when I hit an enemy with a grenade

Have installed on another machine and have the same crash/hang issue. However the alt tab problem does not happen on this machine. Probably due to my dual monitor setup on the other system at a guess.

Same here, with the addition that when I try to go to the missions I get a black screen with only the mouse, but that second problem might be more related to the fact that I'm trying to play the game in a pc with lower than the official requirements. But since others get the crash upon falling on water, seemingly despite system requirements, this one is probably a real problem needing fixing.
On the other hand, I'm also having a problem in trying to save modified game options -the save button in the user defined options is greyed out...

At least I'm not the only one. I also get the crash when the worm hits the water

Same here - first game and as soon as a Worm hits the water:

The screen freezes.
Music continues.
You can alt-tab in and out of the desktop and back, but the mouse is missing - makes it harder to kill the app in Task Manager.
Task Manager shows the game executable as "Not Responding".

Hope they find it and fix it soon.

EDIT: I have reported the details of this issue to the "support" tab of the GOG website. I suggest everyone having any issue (with any GOG game) also do the same. Don't leave it to others, because the more people who report a problem, the quicker they will act to fix it.

Same problem.

No problems here, running on a low-end PC with Win Vista 32-bit. Old ATI GPU, old Intel CPU, 4GB RAM and the game's running flawlessly.

Good to know it's OK. I'm starting to wonder if it's something specific to newer hardware...

my problem is, that the game stutters extremely as soon as it's a human controlled worms turn.
i'm using vista 64-bit.

I have emailed this over to gog and Team17 I'm awaiting a reply from both of them.

No, it's not. It happens in my case as well and I'm well within the specs.

Well, I guess the only thing I can say is I'm happy I'm not alone on these issues.

- Game freezes 100% of the time if a worm goes to the drink.
- Game menu freezes when trying to look up team stats or trying to change team weapons
- Major FPS issues during game play. Even when playing using 800x600 resolution.

What I have found so far. I've contacted support and see what happens. I'll give it a week or two before I pull the trigger in asking for a refund.

What's interesting is I've tried this now on two completely different systems and I get the exact same issues. Using a desktop Win7 Pro 64 Bit 2.7GHz i7 with GeForce GTX 285. Then tried with Surface Pro 3 Win8.1 i5 CPU with inboard video card.

Same freezing here too on HP Elitebook 850G with Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
I downloaded, installed and kept the default settings. I played a single game against the computer and the game froze immediately after I sent a worm to water. After using Task Manager I rebooted and tried it again - same thing.

Same here, game freeze when im trying to teach worm to swim. So Team 17, what was that ? You were saying something about you dont want to release game with bug. Looks like you failed. Hope its not gonna take you another week to fix that problem.
