I'm not asking for obvious reasons like DRM or DRM free, but about the game itself.
Gog version of this game has Steam UI features, as if it's the Steam game itself, which means the developers didn't bother much optimizing the Gog version.

I've found info that Gog version recieves updates very slowly, with longer delays than typical 7 days delay Gog is known for, comapred to Steam's updates. It was even questionable should it recieve the big update which was released at the beginning of this year.
It doesn't support cross-play with Steam users, since Steam version has Steam workshop.

Are all above statements true?

I prefer DRM free games which do not require constant internet connection and platform client (even though I do have constant internet connection), but I do care about updates and maintenance of the games as well.

The Steam Version is the way to go
- More people online on Steam
- So far no cross play between GOG and Steam
- Steam has a Linux version
- Windows, Mac and Linux users on Steam can play together (not sure about GOG)

The devs said GoG version won't be getting any more updates.
