Just purchased New Colossus and my downloads are the "German Edition". Anyone else have this issue? Outside of Germany of course :)

EDIT: So, apparently I'm going blind in my old age - the German edition is in addition to the English version. When you buy it, you get both. I surmise this must be a censored edition of the game, though I don't know why you would choose to play it :)

It's for those people who would like to play the game in their native language.

Indeed, I was referring to the censorship :)
Same here, I bought this in United States and I received the German edition and would like it gone from my account. does hide game work? or should get get support involved to remove this?

Put in a support ticket to request only the German version gets removed from my account, hopefully that works.

It's an interesting little addition. Surprising, considering this didn't happen with the other two Wolf games. Wonder why only with this one...

Doesn't matter to me, though I DO hope I can tell lgogdownloader not to download the German edition...

I use Gogrepo for downloads so i'll need to be careful not to get it, or download it and delete it or something... maybe "hiding" it from the library will do that? Anyways i did put in a ticket and I'm hope for a resolution eventually. They are very backed up right now.

Apparently the German edition replaces all Nazi symbols and removes Hitlers mustache because you can show those in Germany in a video game.

Gotta see how gogrepo works. For lgogdownloader, I was able to add "--language english" as a flag. Guess what language the German edition is in. :P
In the German version, swastikas are edited out as it's against German law to display them anywhere...

EDIT: Oops, someone already mentioned it!

Back then it was. Nowadays this is not the case anymore. Sure the german version remains censored but as a German customer you are able to get the uncensored international version without any problems now.

Huh, I did not know that they relaxed the laws on nazi imagery, but it's no surprise seeing as the nazi scum is having a resurgence in modern-day Germany

Your comment is unjustified and insulting. It shows that you jumped to conclusions instead of informing yourself about the facts.

I am not unjustified in pointing this out as it is a fact, the only ones who deny this fact are nazis and/or nazi sympathizers themselves!

The laws were not relaxed, only the "video games can never qualify for any of the exception categories" stance was.

Fair point, thanks for pointing it out, I am not a local German citizen so I'm not aware of all the nuances of the society/culture over there...
