Wolcen Studio, what can we, Gog customers, expect from you regarding the Gog release. Do you just intend to run away with our money? Do you intend to shadily cover up the plan to discontinue support for the Gog edition, and to send us Steam keys instead, secretly via e-mail? I have opted for the DRM-free release, and I will not accept the Steam key. If you are willing to send me a Steam key, so I can play beta, but you do eventually release the game on Gog when the official release arrives, I can tolerate that, and if I get to keep both copies, I will be fine with that. But switching from Gog to Steam is not an option. I have purchased the product on Gog, not on Steam. I will request a refund if need be.

My guess is that you'll be able to get a refund through GOG... but GOG will be footing the bill for it ><
Gog team issued me a wallet refund this morning. Thank God and thank Gog team.
Hi,

1st, sorry for my english, I'm just a french speaking guy.

On my side, I bought the game back in 2016; yesterday, after reading the forums on Steams, as the developers don't bother to read the GOG forums; I asked GOG what will happen to GOG customers and if we could expect at least to have access to the final release; here's what they replied to me (in french):

Salutations !

So basically, Wolcen is removed from GOG and you have 2 options:
1. Keep the game in it's current state in your GOG library; knowing that it will no longer be updated;
2. Be refunded on your GOG wallet whatever the date at which you bought the game.

On my side, I choosed to be refunded on my GOG wallet; and sure enough a couple of minutes later my wallet was credited with the amount that I paid back in 2016!

I'm really impressed by the fact that GOG accepted to refund an early access game that I bought back in april 2016; big thanks to them !

Hi All,

Regarding options for this please note that you can also request a steam key from the Wolcen Devs as below, Just a reminder to be polite the goal here is to get your steam game key leave the browbeating to the fourms and discord XD, i got my replacement key in 3-4 days witch is quite a good responce time.

Also to get your GOG receipt go to your Account Tab > Orders > search for wolcen > go in and take a snip it / picture and attach to the email that all you have to do :).

While you wrote this back in 2019, for anyone else that bought Wolcen here in good faith that they would release it here and now that they are not, are wanting a steam key, try the above method. However....

I got no response at all from Jessica or any Wolcen dev (also put a request through their website) for a Steam key and I did provide my proof of purchase from here. This whole thing has left me with a bad taste frankly, and I definitely will not be buying Wolcen on Steam out of principle.

If anyone reads this, how do I go about getting a refund here from GoG?

SLIGHTLY late reply, but if anyone else is reading this: to refund the GOG purchase you should contact GOG support, I would assume that it won't be a problem given the circumstances.
