Ok... Thanks to help from here I have solved the tree surfing... Now a NEW issue... The Booger prison. I have the sticks. Most of the holes they go in don't work... But persevering even when I get to the exit by climbing the switches to open the exits (either one) do not work... I attempt to throw the switches and it simply says
"on my way" and then nothing. I changed characters . Same thing with the sticks..."On my way" then nothing...Suggestions? And PLEASE do NOT say on my way...
I also had an issue with "on my way", especially with the sticks. Pretty much only got it to work by standing *extremely* close to the wall activators and using the sticks. I had to jump and activate simultaneously for some. Usually end up placing in the lower sticks and sprint-jumping up, similar to climbing the town walls. The puzzle isn't too hard, but getting the sticks to work (or taking them back) can be a pain (especially since sprint-jumping just saves so much time).

Also from the other thread, you may need to change interaction modes for recharging the eye. Can place it in and out of the wall socket, for sure. I always give my mage(s) the Invoke power for when they run out of spells. If that doesn't work, Invoke-able items which can be sold will recharge if you buy them back...but it feels very cheat-ish. I don't know if you can sell the eye, since I always just place it back in the wall after I'm done charging up the mages.

Thanks again for the assistance. I ended up cheating my way out by using vanish... Now I have another issue... SURPRISE... My mouse takes forever to register on anything in the game. It works fine outside of the game... Any ideas?

Afraid I can only offer some generic suggestions for this one - haven't had it myself if you mean clicking. If you mean sluggish mouse, that suggestion is listed first:
-Graphics mode (software vs 3D) swapping helped with mouse moving slowly a while back. Ended up using Software. Didn't have problems with clicking, however.
-There's Mouse setting ingame under General. Can try switching that around.
-Any mouse software? (I had to disable one of Logitech's for King of Dragon Pass).
-Limiting FPS to around 30-40 helped with some other issues, such as doors (Dragon Spire) not opening/closing at a normal rate or Collasium's puzzle room not spinning without switching menus (though the latter can be benificial if a Glowstone is missing or in a hurry). I don't know if this is necessary with GOG's yet, as I haven't replayed up to the latest stages in the newest version. However, the symptoms are always the same.
-Switching resolutions can help with various issues (tree surfing easier, getting through serpent tunnel, etc).
