This 'looks' like my cup of tea but I'm really not sure.
Is this an open world/sandbox game ? An adventure ? Stealth game ?
I really can't tell from the description or trailers.
Also how much content is in already and how much is planned ?

Hi,

This is a Game in development. That means that we are working on it for another few months before full release.

There is maybe 40% of the final content. 1 playable character out of 3 and 3 out 5 islands. No story but the prologue that you may have seen from E3 Microsoft press conference.

However, there are a lot of encounters (quests), the world is procedurally-generated so none of your playthroughs will be exactly the same.

The game takes place in a dystopian 1960s England where everybody is using a drug called Joy to feel happy. You will play as Arthur who tries to escape this society.

There are survival elements, as well as combat and conformity. You will have to chose your play style.

Just to add to this point - the story is going to be released on 1.0. So there is a story, just not yet.
Thanks for the info. I actually watched a bit of the game on ChristopherOdd's channel on YouTube so I have a bit of an idea what it is now.
First of all, Compulsion Games, I really enjoyed your work on Contrast. I loved the perspective based puzzles and the jazz lounge sequence knocks my socks off every time.

With that out of the way, I definitely will be checking out We Happy Few the first opportunity I get. A 1960s focused Brave New World with stealth elements? Count me in. ^_^

Hey, thanks :) You'll hopefully like the soundtrack too, once it comes in.
Hello there,
When you said "working on it for another few months before full release" I was a bit puzzled, I thought it was quite a while away from release like 2017 etc

[UPDATE] That's ok I found the answer in another thread, time factor is approx 6-12 months. It's just when I saw "a few months" that to me means 2-3 months. :)

I jumped in and bought it straight away. :)
