I bought Wasteland 2 Digital Classic Edition. How do I get the key/redeem Wasteland 1? Is there an email sent that contains the code?

Thank you!

The web page say that is for the Deluxe edition, not the classic edition.

Belsirk, you are mistaken. Both versions of Wasteland 2 on GOG come with a free download code for Wasteland 1.

Since GOG recently changed how your game shelf works, I'm not surprised you couldn't find it. Follow these steps:

1.) Hover over the "Account" tab on the top-right of the page.

2.) In the drop-down that appears, click "Library".

3.) Find Wasteland 2 on your game shelf. An easy way to do so is to use the Search field just above your game list.

4.) Click on the Wasteland 2 icon that is on your game shelf.

5.) On the new window that appears, click the "More" button which is right next to the blue button that says "Try GOG Galaxy".

6.) On the drop-down menu that appears, click on "Serial Keys". On the right of the new screen, you will see a URL.

7.) Copy and paste the URL into your address bar to redeem the free copy of Wasteland 1.

Let me know if you need any further assistance getting this working. Otherwise, Happy Gaming!

Now I am getting a message that reads that the keys are "depleted". I really appreciate your response though, that got me to the correct place.

I just went ahead and bought it and will gift the extra code to someone when GOG gets back to me.
It's weird that the key isn't invalid. I'm sure GOG will make it right and it's generous of you to gift it once they do get it sorted out. Just be sure to Make A Human Answer You when you are ready to give it away. Simply dumping the code in a forum post almost guarantees it will be gobbled up by a bot, and that doesn't really help anyone.

Either way, I'm glad I was able to help you traverse the new game shelf. As soon as it changed, I was curious where redemption keys would end up, so I went looking. I figured the knowledge would be beneficial to others. I'm pleased I was right. ^_^

Ok, after reading both pages I discovered that I misread the promotion, Sorry by any confusion make from my previous statement.

No worries! Nuwyn got it figured out, and now you learned something new! ^_^
Follow what Tekkaman-James stated above and copy the last digits of the link it provides (the code after the final slash but not including the slash of course) Then click the "REDEEM CODE" link on the bottom of this page (or any page, I think) and paste your code there. It will provide you with your free gift of Wasteland 1.
Thanks!

:)

It only took me months to realize how simple the process was to just enter the activation code and download Wasteland (original).

*sigh*

I'm loving the original Wasteland!
:)

An interesting computer game that I can play until I can get a faster PC to play the sequel.

One tip, you only has ONE SINGLE SAVE SLOT. If you left any town (Even with PC dying) will be overwritten, so, is a quick way to refresh your team the first time.

Ah, and there is a key for letting pass time instead of walk like crazy (I discovered until reached the final area).

I'll keep this info in mind.

Mr. Fargo, if you're out there somewhere reading this:

Would you please find a way to develop a new 3D version of M.A.X.
...or at least a spiritual successor of M.A.X.?

...please?
Waow, I would have never found that.
I thought the code would have been sent by mail.
Or, even better, gog could unlock Wasteland 1 by default for the account without going through this process.

Anyway, the menu says the code is "temporarily locked".
Anyone has the same issue ?

[edit]: ok found solution: do not past the link completely, but only "https://www.gog.com/redeem", then enter the code in the box.

Thank you for these tips. When I clicked on the link, however, I got a 404 page does not exist.

I noticed that the link I copied and pasted was in all capitals. Sure enough, retyping the URL in all lowercase (except for the redeem code itself) made it work.

Silly that it is this much trouble for redemptions. =(
