I am unclear where to paste the Direct X fix? When I right click on the shortcut tab I got to properties but the only place really to paste into is a the comment section?

I got the Direct X fix to run the game here is what you have to do and the exact location to past "-force-d3d9" minus the quotation marks.

*Right click on your Wasteland 2 Shortcut

*click on Properties

*In the Target text box under the tab 'Shortcut' paste in at the end of the command, -force-d3d9
Example: "C:\GOG Games\Wasteland 2\WL2.exe" -force-d3d9
Make sure you leave a space in between the Quotation mark and the pasted command

Click Apply and allow to change as admin then click ok

This got it to run for me

Wont even boot on my MPB :/ No logs, no nothing. Just have to force a reboot of OSX.
I get the "beach ball" of death after the initial Wasteland 2 logo.

Any Clues?

skullbone: Hi. my Wasteland 2 crashes when I try to play the game, right after forming my party and I click play game, then chose my difficulty. It begins to load and it progress nearly completes then crashes.

i saw your font solution and went to do that but my computer does not have that font...even when I look at the hidden files and making sure I can view the protected system files.

I do not find the UNCLL.tff file

Any ideas? My laptop is a bit old but I think I should be able to run the game..here are my basic specs.

Intel i3 dual core Processor
4gb of memory
2.13 Ghz

My graphics card is a Intel HD4000 I believe...so is this the issue?
I have the exact same problem. Same setup and everything.

TCMU2009: I have the exact same problem. Same setup and everything.
I fixed my problem with the direct X solution. You can find what I did within this same post.

I also got 2 reproducible crashes on Linux so far:

1.) In the load screen when entering Ag Center after Highpool is done. It crashes when the progress bar is at about 25%.
2.) In Highpool, after I adjusted the mortar. When I fire it, the game crashes.

These crashes are reproducible for me every time, while otherwise the game runs stable so far, no random crashes.
I retested with a freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (32bit) with the proprietary AMD drivers installed and it still crashes reproducable for me (using the same savegame).

On another note, I checked this also with a debian wheezy using the free radeon drivers and while the game is too slow to play and has graphical glitches, the crash when entering the Ag Center is not reproducable there. The level loads fine. I havent tested the other crash though. So it really seems to be a problem with the AMD drivers.

I really hope there will be an update soon that fixes these crashes, as for now I am really disappointed because this is otherwise such a great game!
A small, non-critical bug in Highpool regarding the Water Purifier and Mechanical Repair.

> Use the Engine with the Water Purifier - the machine starts up (located where the Mayor's Desk/Infirmary/Shop are)

> If you critically-fail a Mechanical Repair check - the condition of the machine worsens and smoke will emerge.

> Keep trying to repair the machine...

> After a successful Mechanical Repair check - the machine works normally - the merchant will thank the Rangers for fixing the machine

HOWEVER upon examination - the description still states:

"With the damage you did this machine will never work right again."

Non-Critical Bugs *Potential Spoilers* (WIP)

User Interface:
At least for me, when displaying the game in any resolution below 1080p (1920 X 1080), when I drag my cursor around the edges of the screen, the wasteland 2 cursor changes to the default windows.

Character Creation:
The (English) text describing the Luck attribute is misaligned in the description window to the immediate right. I have not attempted other languages.

Some of the choices for Hair, Torso, etc... appear to be duplicates. Or potentially missing?

Gameplay:
Kathy Lawson at Ag Center (First Choice) displays the wrong avatar picture until she moves to the lab.

Side note on avatar pics for npc's, pretty sure there are others, I just have to find them again, sorry.

The travel globe at the RaIl Nomad's camp seems to be a bit broken for me. I've saved/loaded in several different places, but I still can't click on the globe to go back to the wasteland. When I click on the globe it doesn't do anything. Basically, I'm stuck at the nomad camp. I'm going to try it a few more times, but I don't really know what to do. There's only one globe out of the camp afaik, so if it doesn't work, then it's pretty much a game killing bug for me. I'll have to either try and loaded save from way earlier in the game... or ditch it altogether and start over.
Another minor text bug/quirk.

Even after saving Highpool and appointing Kate as the mayor...

It seems Major Nur Giebitz doesn't get the memo.

I bit more text nitpicking...

Train or Trains?

The latter would look nicer.

It seems the patch fixed the travel globe problem. Got back to the wasteland post patch.
I'm finding lots of examples of crates / safes / etc around the Rail Nomads area - which are trapped - confirmed by hovering over the item with the demolitions skill.

Unlike the ones in Highpool, for example...

The combat log doesn't state "this container is locked and trapped" and cursor doesn't appear to change (box + dynamite icon)

Are the perception checks for these items really high or is something fishy going on?

I would've thought that I couldn't see the trap if I failed the perception check?

I'm finding the Rail Nomads area in general needs a bit more attention to be honest =\

I'm finding the framerate goes through the floor when inside of the huts.

Having Pitbull unload his machine-gun without reaction is as laughably bad as the Doctor fight at the destroyed Ag Center. Isn't it the perfect place for a Hard Ass or Kiss Ass check?

Surely the ranger party should get the drop on both of them? Particularly when passing one of the many dialog checks with the Doctor!

Jessie apparently gets taken prisoner - although last my party saw of her she was standing in the playground - waiting for Ralphy who never turns up having been recruited!

When talking to Casey:

I'm able to repeatedly ask about the "Gunpowder" and "Brake Shoe" receiving the same answer each time.

Picking the "Righteous" option in dialog leads to the speech where you can choose "Both".

Picking the "War" option only leads to redundant dialog where you can again pick the "Both" option.

Not sure of the purpose of the "Done" choice.

Typing in the "Both" option in either case should work as intended.

I seem to be taking over the thread with my bug reports >)

Cache to the far left of the Rail Nomads camp still appears to be marked as "Untouched" despite looting it - I'm unable to interact further with it.

The first line Chisel speaks (when leaving Rail Nomads) regarding "Work" should be changed from a float to the speech window. I didn't even see the line when I was zoomed in.

The switch of the Air Purifier in Darwin Village shows as being activated before turning it on. Surely this should be inverted?

Mercaptain comments on Matt appreciating the help at cleaning out the infected areas. I'm sure he would if he wasn't deceased - since I went to Highpool first!

At the prison:

The combat log mentions the sick woman's possessions (in the drawer) in past tense before she's actually died.

There are several NPC's in the area who can be asked about "Rad Suits" and "Damonta" before the option naturally presents itself.

If you don't have it from Kickstarter already, that might earn you an invitation to the Torment beta...

I had a college summer job where I increased the bug list from three pages to twenty-five doing incidental work (Crystal Reports creation and integration). They hired me the next summer to do development and were disappointed that I got an offer elsewhere I couldn't turn down when I graduated. Don't knock the value of good bug reports.
