Did I miss any patch? My mouse can't do scroll. I have to click after moving my cursor to the edge of the game.
And right click doesn't make a unit move? I have to press M then left click somewhere.

That's basically how you play WC1 with hotkeys, but I managed to find a "mod", which adds improved mouse support.

It's strange because when I have the mouse cursor near the edge of the screen it turns into an arrow, suggesting that it should scroll...

For Warcraft 1, left click when it turns into an arrow in order to edge scroll.
Edge scrolling from touching the edge of the screen alone wasn't introduced until Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.

Easiest way for me to 'scroll' is to right click on the battlefield where I want the camera to center. Other than click and dragging the window on the minimap is useful, or using the arrow keys. Left clicking when the cursor turns into an arrow at the edge of the screen also works, but I find I don't really rely on that.

It's all a bit archaic but you get used to it.

I actually didn't remember that you had to click at the edge to scroll. I think it's fine, you get used to it.

Thanks a lot for posting this and running_wolf for creating it! Being able to right click move\attack\harvest and left drag select improves the game so much

Not matter. You anyway should use Keyboard for camera move. Even if you not faced before with that old RTS's not-so-good controlling. because. common, even in shooters you use KB! Why so many players scroll camera by mouse? Not lamo-streamers but old-experienced RTS players too. Used KB for hotkeys but still scroll map by mouse... L - logic... :facepalm:
