I have been getting 6112 error. I have contacted ISP and tried opening port as well as other fixes I have seen online. Still getting the same message and there's no end in sight. The only reason I bought this game was to play online with friends. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, it'd be appreciated.

My brother was having the same issue, not he just gets varying error messages. Why is this game so broken? lol
Have you tried running game as admin? That has helped a few
I hadn't but I just tried firing it up as admin right now and it still gives me the same error message.
I insert my CD-KEY and this works, go to Games -> War2 Bnet Edition -> More -> Serial Keys, so .. launch the game and change your key.

lol I will try it again.
6112 is the network port.
Your ISP isn't going to help you with that because it isn't an ISP issue.
You need to set port forwarding through your router to forward ports 6112 - 6119 to your computers network IP address.

The game is not broken, this is how classic battlenet worked.
Back in the day it was common knowledge that if you wanted to play any of these games you needed to ensure your network was set approprietly. Modern games have automatic network detection and configuration.

lol the game is broken.....
Is it possible to play a multiplayer game on battle.net but with more than one computer in the same house? I want to play a 4 player game with my son and I at our house versus his friend and Dad at their house.

Not exactly. When Diablo, Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition, and Starcraft came out, they worked fine with no port configuration required. I played all these games on Windows 95 and 98 without having to do any of that.

What changed was security configurations over time. Some time in the 2000s (yeah a long time ago, but not back in the day of these games) the games started requiring port forwarding on more modern setups.

I wish GOG would do a bigger overhaul of these games so they could be enjoyed by more people that don't want waste their time with the extra steps, or just don't want to ruin their network security. Blizzard should get on it, and help them improve Battle.net. This game is a recent relaunch, and its already dead. Not a single person logged in as I type this.
I have my ports forwarded so am no longer getting the 6112 error, but am now getting an "Unable to connect to Battle.net" error. Any ideas on how to fix?

Search for "Warcraft Battle". Now click on the title of the game, below the logo (don't click on the "v", that will appear), and then on the "More". You'll have a way of accessing your key, in the menu that shows up.
We all hang out at Trollogart's discord but i have 6 different warcraft 2 channels I can invite you too. justin#6178 is my discord, invite me as a friend and I will be more than happy to introduce you to many many warcaft 2 players. I am on a frist name basis with many of them.
