G-Doc: We received a new build from Telltale. We're in the process of testing if this is the build we were supposed to get in the first place. We want to make sure that this time around there will be no problem. If it's all good the problematic build will be replaced later today. Please join us in keeping our fingers crossed, and once again: we apologize.
I tried to keep my fingers crossed, but I'm having trouble using the keyboard (which I need for my work). I believe I shall keep my toes crossed. Hopefully this in itself will not delay the re-release.

I guess i can copy out the slot save file from my documents and re-import it.... hopefully will have a chance later to find out! :)
Hopefully this all works out. I can't continue the game unless it's sequential. =/
I may be wrong but i think the episodes are self contained stories. I'm playe EP2 and there doesn't seem to be any prior references/kownledge required.

You can play the other episodes in the meantime, they're each stand alone games with little or no reference to each other.

Fair enough. I had the same problem getting into Sam and Max... but the continuity isn't terribly important I guess.
I'm happy to tell you guys, that the patch fixing the toast bug has finally been uploaded to our servers (labeled as "Universal Patch"). You can apply it to your existing installation to fix your game. We've also replaced the main file, so everyone buying the game now and installing it won't have to apply the patch.

Again, sorry for inconvenience and thank you for your patience!
Ty very much for the prompt fix, and the communication during the issue.

And thank YOU for calling it "prompt" :-D
Thanks GOG for getting it sorted out!
Thank you very much.
Thanks a lot for the support! I was worried that it would be a full reinstall too.
Awesome! Thanks GOG. I've been a long time customer of Telltale, and noticed that their Support System is not what they used to be. I'm assuming it's because of the huge success with TWD series at the moment. I tried the first Episode of W&G a while back on my 360, but didn't get the other episodes. So, when I saw the sale here, I added it to my ever-growing GOG game collection. Thanks again GOG for getting this swiftly out to the masses!

Considering the number of games (boxed hardcopy and otherwise) i have purchased over the years and then had to wait weeks and even months for the publisher/distributor to patch to correct annoying bugs and crashes, having something dealt with in less than a week certaintly qualifies as prompt in my opinion, particulary considering that the issue came to light at the start of a holiday weekend for many people.
I installed the patch, but Gromit still couldn't give Wallace the toast. I completely uninstalled the game and deleted the saved games manually. After reinstalling, Gromit gave Wallace the toast first. That seemed to work. I don't know for sure which of the operations I went through fixed the problem, but I think there might still be issues with this version.
