Hi all,

We have uploaded a new installer to your game shelves that will install Volgarr the Viking version 1.31. Please download this new installer at your earliest convenience in order to have the latest and greatest version of the game :)

Changelog for version 1.31:

* Added an obvious message about skipping worlds you've completed before
to make it clear that the game DOES include a form of progress-saving.

* Added an optional OpenGL-based graphics engine, as a possible solution
for anyone having issues with Direct3D on their system.

* Added an optional SDL-based sound and music engine, which can be
selected in the Sound Options menu (as long as the game can find
SDL2.dll in your system's PATH somewhere or in the same folder as the
game's .exe file - see http://www.libsdl.org/ for details), as a
possible solution for anyone having issues with DirectSound on their system.

* Added a new scaling filter to the Graphics Options menu, titled
"Bilinear X2", which should look crisper than Bilinear yet avoid the
uneven pixel sizes seen with Point filtering (basically halfway between
the two filters previously available). NOTE: This filter will not work
on all resolutions on all systems - in the cases where it doesn't work
it will look the same as normal Bilinear.

* Fixed an incorrectly-looping ambient sound in the first level.

* It is now possible to request a specific graphic/sound/music engine
via command-line parameters, useful for troubleshooting when can't get
to the pause menu. -graphics=# (1-dx9, 2-opengl, 3-dx7), -sound=# (0-no
sound, 1-DSound, 2-SDL), -music=# (0-no sound, 1-DSound, 2-SDL),
-soundquality=# (1-4, only applies to SDL currently).

Thanks and have a nice day :)
I wonder if they'll add a Path of Odin sometime...
this is the fifth game that's gone undetected on my gog update radar... what's happening?

There is some weird Dragonsphere bug where it is the only game shown that's "updated." Today is the first day I've seen other games, besides Dragonsphere, updated. I hope they fixed the bug.
I got the update alert just a minute ago.
Great to see them adding OpenGL and SDL support. Hopefully it means that the Linux version is not too far away :)
HOW CAN THIS BE? I HAD 2 UPDATES AND NONE WAS ABOUT DRAGONSPHERE.

HEAVILY DISSAPOINTED!

Hi can you tell me what version number GOG is on.
Also is there a way to tell the version number a game is on from your library without installing it.

Cheers
Assuming a game has received a patch/update, the current version will be the one that is stickied at the top of the sub-forum. In this case, that would be Version 1.3.4. Once a newer version is available, the old thread will be un-stickied and the new one will take its place.

As for being able to tell what version a game is from your library, that's a bit trickier because the version number of the GOG installer is not always the same as the version number of the game. If you have a question regarding version numbers, it's probably better to check the sub-forum for the game or contact GOG Support.
