So I haven't played much and can already tell ammo is going to be a huge priority. The most comon enemy I've come across so far are the Juve. I feel like I wasted too much ammo on them (in one case depleting all of it) just to get through a ship with lots of them on it. I know sneaking is a tactic, but there's hardly any places to hide behind and they move unpredictably and fast. What tips would anyone suggest when preserving ammo when it feels like the Juve keep spawning?

Thanks!

I probably went to the same ship, and was very surprised at how many kept appearing. I have only noticed it on one ship though. Other ships seem more reasonable in numbers.

Some tips...
Once you board, check the map and head straight for the helm. Activate the system there to reveal all goodies. Then as much as possible, plan a circular route to get the goodies, and return to the airlock. Topping up oxygen at Atmo if necessary. Also you may have to include switching on the power into the route sometimes.

Don't forget you can close doors behind you, and lock some of them. A good way to trap some of the bigger nasties.

While on the STEV familiarise yourself with the various screens for workshop, spares etc. There are lots of useful upgrades to make.

Finally, you don't have to get everything, (better if you can). If you die, any food, ammo, scrap etc is lost for that run. Though you do keep equipment from previous incarnations.
Thanks for your comment! I'm gradually getting the hang of it but still haven't come across much ammo despite having the bullet locator. I also found out that those chemical puddle looking things spawn enemies, so that's incentive to getting a move on.
