jcdenton11: So GOG doesn't want to give any actual information
GOG didn't even read your mail. What you got there is the same copypasta that everyone who's asking for game XY's release date gets. Want to have a good laugh? Ask them if it's true that Half Life 3 will be released on Christmas as a GOG.com exclusive ;) "can't comment on upcoming deals... we're doing everything possible... process can be complicated... vote on wishlist... check news page for more info."
Well, I have some good news and some mediocre news. Remember me telling you guys that I emailed Neocore Games support regarding whether we will still get the GOG version if we ask for a Steam key? Here's the response

Hello Daniel,

Yes, on GOG you will receive automatically the Final Cut if you already own all the 3 episodes there.

GOG games will have to lack all of the Steam features, because of the DRM thing, but I don't know what's happening behind the scenes. :)

To my best knowledge it will be released soon but I also don't know what is the exact reason why it takes a month.

Regards,
András Igaz

Hopefully that'll cheer some people up (including myself). Obviously the mediocre news is that we continue to wait with no idea what's going on, but still, it's a glimmer of hope in my eyes.

Yeah... I responded to the email and I got a response that pretty much demonstrated that the representative knew nothing of the announcement by Neocore that we would get a free copy on GOG if we owned the trilogy and seemed to imply that I was making it up. Not exactly getting my hopes up here, and now I'm kinda pissed at the response, I've been a loyal GOG supporter for years and wasn't expecting this bullshit from their customer support.

Yikes. So do they want extra royalties for Final Cut even though the bundle offer was what drove sales in the first place? It's really hard to guess what the deal is, and it definitely feels like there's some sort of non-disclosure rule in the mix too.
Just got my response email from GOG support regarding Final Cut's release.
Hello, I just talked with our BizDev department and while I am obviously unable to share any details, I know for sure that we are working with the devs on bringing Van Helsing Final Cut DRM-free to GOG and that we will do it as fast as we can.
I apologise for the inconvenience.

They do end up reading what we send it. Maybe it's what you write and how much? Who knows, at least we have confirmation on both sides that the game is indeed coming out.

Nice, I honestly think whoever got my email didn't look into it at all and gave a generic answer rather than ask the right people about it.

Possibly, but I would like to point out that my email to them was around 2 pages long, so that gave them a bit of a reason to look at it.

Either way, just got my Steam key for the game, so at the very least I'll be able to see if this game has been worth waiting and complaining for.
Considering that there have been free upgraded previously, I don't really get what the problem is.

For now, I have Grim Dawn b28 and PoE to keep me occupied, but it would still be nice to get the Final Cut as well.
I stopped playing this game after a day or two, when I heard that final cut would be released on gog, Are they trying to get sales up on steam and etc, before the release it here?
Maybe it's time limited exclusive for Steam. The original episodes were available a few months earlier on Steam. I think they only had Steam original in mind for the PC release of the final cut. All the other resellers (GOG amongst others) aren't so popular to be considered, especially if you consider the "speacial feature" non-copy-protection.

Looks like gog is becoming more popular than Steam ^^ Go DRM Free ! ! !

If they had Steam only in mind originally then they wouldn't have been mentioning GOG in their blog posts regarding the releases. They also wouldn't have had to delay the first time in order to "synchronize releases." Who knows the reason anymore.
I emailed Neocore support three weeks ago (11-09-2015) with my receipts.

I received a reply one week later (11-16-2015), asking for my Steam ID Number, so that they could link a license to my account. I responded within an hour with my Steam ID Number and haven't heard back from them since...

Just emailed support again, asking if they are still working on my request.

I got mine within the next day, but I suspect it's because they wanted me quiet. Just keep bugging them and you'll get it.

Well, the first game has been released on Xbox One. But for some reason instead of releasing as a Gold edition or something with all the DLC, they're selling the DLC separate, which is kind of mind boggling to me at this point. The game has been out long enough that there's no reason to inconvenience their customers. *shrugs* Maybe I'm just old fashioned and I'm spoiled by older games after they reach a certain age just giving us what we had to buy initially.

Neverwinter Nights did it, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, dozens of other games... Just can't wrap my head around it.

Total cost of the game and the two additional classes / DLC on Xbox One is about $23. Not a huge price, but I just don't get why they don't bundle.

And again, no peep about GOG.
