I never managed to complete redemption but i remember that the 1.1 patch was still very buggy. The bug that i hated the most was that even if you set party AI to not use disciplines, they would spam it in every fight, run low on blood and then frenzy. It was a micro management nightmare. Has that been fixed in the GOG version or any unofficial patch/mods?

I also rmemeber being quite confused as to what each stat did. At the start of the game, it was quite common to miss almost every attack and I was never quite sure what stat i was supposed to increase to land more attacks...or do more damage.

Weapos wise, ranged weapons seemed too weak, even guns do pretty much nothing to vampires, let alone stuff like crossbows. Warhammers and stuff that did bashing damage also seemed too weak.

But the biggest problem I had with the game was the massive grind through dungeon after dungeon.

AOR - it won't fix the grind but it vastly improved the AI and gives you a lot of control over how the game works. It is a hack and slash game so there will be enemy after enemy but the spawn rate, etc can be set.
Im trying AoR out but having lots of problems with it...i cant seem to overwrite old save games and even with the config utility setting AI discipline use to "none", they still use disciplines. The ingame discipline controls for AI are still broken.
