Back in the day, when this game came out, I bought it for the multiplayer content. However, I cannot remember how it all worked anymore - is the multiplayer component in this game useless, or is it there, dusty but usable?
And if it's not working, anyone have any ideas for a workaround?

World Of Darkness mod seems to be improved version of multiplayer in V:tMR
The multiplayer used the now defunct Won.net authentication like the original Half-Life did. You can multiplayer over the net with a VPN utilizing the LAN functionality in the game.
I just put in a request for official support for it in the GameRanger forums. Maybe if more ask it might happen.
"IDontLikeWON.net" or "Vampire Multiplayer Heaven" was a third party tool that used to work well for bypassing WON for online play. I just tried it on Win 7 x64 and it was calling out for a java dependency - I'll see if I can get it working later. Might work fine for others though.
I bet it has dependencies with the old Microsoft Java Virtual Machine.
