I just stomped the Confederates on Day Two of Gettysburg... and ended up with a rather (seemingly) unceremonious end to the game. Is this possible or did I hit a glitch? I was "lauded" with a pyrrhic victory despite having destroyed those racist traitors (;) ) very early on. Again, did I hit a glitch or is it possible to stomp the rebels, yet still gain a lackluster "victory" on Day 2 of Gettysburg, with very little fanfare from the game? It seems like I've just been kicked back to the main menu. I'm a bit confused - if I WAS able to end them soon and wrap up the campaign after only a few fights, I'd expect the game to comment on this rather than just call my early victory weak and lackluster! I'd love a few pointers!

It is possible that you just won the game. :-) I think it is connected to the Victory Points.
For expample, I won a minor victory in a battle by holding the points I had from the beginning. Afterwards, the usual screen appeared where I was asked about my strategy for the next fight. Then I reloaded the previous mission to try something else. This time, I lost one of the Strategic Points, which was worth 1000 VP, but won another one for 3500 VP which I didn't cach last time. After this battle, I also saw the end-screen, telling me that the battle was over and I gained a victory (but just a minor one, probably because I lost nearly 10.000 men).
So, in short: I think the 2000 VPs made the difference and so I think that the game just counts your points and decides that the battle is over when you reach a certain number of points (maybe also related to the enemy's points and losses).

Thanks! Probably what happened to me then (VP victory) - but it was just so sudden I wasn't sure exactly what occurred LOL.
