1920x1080 works perfectly in 1.21 version, but when i try in the 1.30 version... the game screen go to the wrong position

I can't stand playing with the heads cut off on the squad screen, so I either have to play v1.2 widescreen or v1.3 retro.

I'm going 1.3 retro, I value gameplay above widescreen.

Anyway, besides the heads being cut off, this works fine on Windows 8.1
Sorry to necro thispost, but does anyone have a mirror for the widescreen patches, both the ones here as well as on WSGF appear to be broken.

Real UFO players know they have to simply put the files in the game folder (before you may do a backup of your overwritten ufo.exe).

I suppose that asking for a 2560x1440 patch is out of the question, now...;/ It's difficult to believe that the developers haven't thought enough of their own game to update it over the years to modern graphical standards--at least simple resolution support--so that people might still be interested in buying it. Wish I knew how that .vdf file was compiled I'd do it myself...;)

waltc: that the developers haven't thought enough of their own game
Since very long it's not their own game. I think the rights belong to 1C now, and selling more would not bring money to the devs.
Can't seem to find a working download link in this thread am I SOL?

selkathguy: Done. Take a look

I also added a v3.0 for your 1366x768 resolution. As for your DPI issue, I'm afraid I can't fix that.
is your widescreen fix for 1.3 available anywhere? I can only seem to find the 1.2 version (or at least it displays 1.2 although it seems to run widescreen 1920x1080 fine)
any working download location for the 1.3 widescreen patch?
Looking for a 1.3 compatible widescreen patch as well.
