anyone know how to change up the resolution!!!!???? monitor's native res is 1600x900, looks like crap at 10x7, I'm given no options 'cept freq. 60hz, 75hz, etc.
is there a reg fix or hex hack?
TIA,

Is there a ufo-as.ini somewhere in the games data folder? If so just open that up with notepad and look for width and height and try changing those to your monitors resolution.

Aftershock is 1024x768 only.
All you can do is enabling the GPU scaling in your graphic card driver, with the option to maintain the aspect ratio, then play fullscreen.

Yeah its stuck in one resolution, a pain back when it was new and everyone was used to 800x600. I got a post on running this in windowed mode, works pretty well in Win7 and XP for me.

yeah, thanks guys for the responses. for some reason the 10x7 res I believed to be limited to just aftermath...
I dunno if this is really worth $10 now...starforce or no... especially with most peeps running higher than aftershock's default, you'd think Altar/Ceneca would have done a new patch/executable to help sorta 'future proof' their title a bit...
really kinda a shame really

Generally devs/publishers simply forget their games soon after the full retail sale period. GOG Sales and collaboration with GOG have encouraged couple to develop compatibility patches/ remaster their games (Arx Fatalis/Divine Divinity) but they are few and far between. There are just few others (Ufo: Aftershock, Tropico Reloaded, Stronghold: Crusader Extreme etc.). Hopefully GOG and the fact that games are avaialble for years thru DD services will encourage more devs/publishers to take care of their old games better.
