Are there mods for transport fever? Where are they available for download?

There are lots of mods for Transport Fever.
Many of them can be found at:
https://www.transportfever.net

The best thing to do is to download the Transport Fever Mod Manager :
https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php/Entry/2785-TPFMM-Beta/
Once you set it to your Transport Fever directory it lets you directly download and install mods from both the main Transport Fever site and also from the Steam Workshop directly into the game.

There is a daily size limit on downloads from the Steam Workshop so if the mod you want is on both sites pick the TF one first.

I have never been able to get into the transportfever.net server.
I keep getting a message that it uses an obsolete protocol.
Is there a method of accessing the server?

Works fine for me with both Firefox and Chrome.

Have you tried Googling the exact error message you're getting? That might give you a hint what is going on.

What browser are you using? Maybe try a different one.
Any plugins or extensions that might be interfering? Temporarily disable them.
Thanks Falsegodz

I have just done a google search and it doesn't look too hopeful.
Support for RC4 and SSL connections were phased out in browsers over the last 2 years.
I have tried Chrome, and Internet Explorer 8.
Firefox has apparently also dropped support for RC4 and SSL.
But there is possibly still a work around with Firefox, by switching off the secure connection.
Although it appears Firefox may also be phasing out any switching to enable RC4 or SSL.

I recall hearing SSL was being blocked a couple of years ago.
Which also might explain why I would get warnings about an insecure connection, back when they were Trainfever.org
I had the option to proceed then. But now that option appears to have been built out of recent browsers.
Things turned out well.

Downloaded latest Firefox and entered the site without a problem.

Not quite the full range of mods that are available overall.
Hopefully the modding community will make greater use of the site.

The Transport Fever site has a solid collection and most of the best mods are posted there but it's still only half the size of the Steam Workshop.

That's why I posted the link to the Transport Fever Mod Manager which does give access to the Steam workshop so it solves the problem, plus it makes it easier in general to keep track of which mods you have installed and shows you when mods have been updated.
Downloaded TFMM and had it up and running in a couple of minutes.

It connects as you say, to both Transportfever.net and Steam

Downloaded and installed a mod directly from Steam, then gave it a run and perfect results.

The best thing to do is to download the Transport Fever Mod Manager

Hi. I know it's some while since you posted this but i've only just got hold of TF.
How do I get mods to work? I've downloaded a few into the TPFMM but despite it seemingly suggesting they are installed, no changes show up in my game. Do I need to activate them somehow?
Cheers,
Tony

Start a Free Game then click on the 'Advanced' tab. There should be a list of your installed mods.
Click the little switch under 'Enabled' when it turns green they're active.
Not all mods will show up at the start of the game as most of them have beginning and ending dates like the normal game assets.
I thank you falsegodz, verily you have saved my sanity!
I was trying to use Europe, wherein the advanced tab is inactive. I see Custom is the way to go.
Like many of the standard features of this game, nothing is immediately obvious.

Thanks again.

Transport Fever definitely has a bit of a learning curve but once you get into it you can build some really complex transportation networks, especially once you start modding the game.

Personally I recommend the flexible station mod. It has tons of options and I can't imagine playing without it.
