Hey fellow Torchlighters. I have a confession to make. I forgot I owned this game on GOG.com. It was only the other day when I was looking through my games list I saw it, and boy was I happy I did!

Coming to this game from a avid fan of Diablo 2 and a not so happy fan of Diablo 3 I found torchlight to be a great game. Knowing it was made by some Ex-Blizzard devs you can see the influences clearly throughout. Even the main town song has a very Tristram "feel" to it :)

It surprised me how many system I saw in Diablo 3 are present... and even better executed in Torchlight! I'm having a blast and thought that we the players should show how much fun we've been having. Upload a picture of your character from the main menu screen. Show off what you have so far!

Yay! Here's my level 33 Alchemist with his cat, Piri.

Sorry for the low-res, but I'm playing on an old laptop that can barely run games, so I have to play it at 800x600 -- and with a few effects turned off -- for it to be smooth and fluid. Well, at least I get to enjoy it all the same, I guess!!!

It's a nice game indeed! I have also Titan quest, which is a fine game and everything but Torchlight is more entertaining for me. I don't know why. Haven't completed it yet, though. Probably because I play permadeath.

Do anyone else prefer that way?

Don't have my savegame anymore (new computer), but I did have a well-leveled berserker with a cat. Don't remember his level, but I had rounded the whole game, played a lot of the new (never-ending) dungeon, and systematically gone through a lot of the maps you could get/buy.

It was a fun game for quite a while, but at some point it became a bit too repetitive, and even with a mod that added 16 boxes or whatever it was, it was tough to keep on top of all the loot.

Well, since my laptop died on me and now I had to move to my old desktop, thus losing all my Torchlight saves and progress, here's a new screenshot of my new groze, again with his cat, Piri. Now he's at level 18.

I can't seem to take screen shots from TL2 and I too lazy to go snag a separate program to do it.

Since I don't think there's a need to create a thread like this for Torchlight II (this might very well be a series appreciation thread, in my opinion), here's a picture of my level 40 Berserker enjoying a bit of fishing after having cleared the fishing hole area of enemies:
