i bought torchlight 2 on sale on gog last week , i played it on my laptop windows 10 4gb ram but why does it keeps crash. is it because the new update of win10?

As much as I like to blame WIn10 for everything :D, but not sure....
Did you maybe also upgrade some graphic/sound-driver at the same time?

I assume you have directx9.0c installed? It is NOT included in Win10!
(First part assumes that you did played it prior on Win10, second one that you never played it on WIn10 ;) )

i have both direct x9 and x11 but since the newest win10 update few days ago i cannot even lauch this game

Do you get any error message?

Also, just for 'fun', check if windows did not for any reason uninstalled your GPU driver and installed a stupid default one instead. Have seen this happening a few times.

Also if it just doesn't startup try a repair and/or reinstalled (not deleting, just install Torchlight in the same path and so on, saves and similar shall be save, but just in case: make a backup of your saves).

yeah i just solve the errror. apparaently it was windows 10 update fault. the 1709 update. so it messes up withmy driver GPU so i went to download the latest driver and update manually. restart pc and it went fine. thanks for ur reply btw. if any of ur friend have this problem then tell him to exact same thing i did.
