Got the same issue as the post regarding "Mac version: Options menu", but I'm running it on a PC using Vista 64. F1 does nothing, and I have found no other way to access the options. The only hot keys that work are F5 and F6, as well as the m, s, d, and t keys. The only way to exit the game is to go to desktop and "x" out of the ScummVM window.

Other than waiting several days for GoG tech support to answer the question, has anyone found a way around this problem?

Actually ALT-F4 exits the game as well.

Thanks! And now to Zyankali, above....

Thanks! Apparently Support didn't (doesn't?) know this because they replied to my troubleshooting request with the following:

"The Save (F5) and Load (F6) menus are the only ones available in this version of the game as it is run using ScummVM.
Hope this is not a considerable inconvenience.

Regards

GOG.com Support"

Guess I'll email them back so they can post something on the game's troubleshooting page if they want to.

Aww, that's not nice. There was an option to switch the font in the game from the small "funny" one to normall "more readable" one. Without access to the options menu, switching the font is impossible (at leats not without messing with the game's files).

For the lazy, like me, Alt - X will allow you to 'two-finger' exit the game. =)

The Toonstruck engine maintainer added support for the options diaog yesterday, so it if isn't already it should be making its way into the development builds soon, I guess. I doesn't seem to have quite every feature of the original, but at least the font setting works for me.
1. im just glad toonstruck is now available, owning the original missing this game much whoop

2. is there some update on this issue? its very odd this is the only scummvm game that only f5 f6 works,
f1 normally always works and i cant get into the options at all minus launch menu.

elp?
Thanks AZOULAY92 for posting how to get to the menu on MAC :)

fn - ctrl - f5

Any update on this?

I already bought the original CDROM release years ago and it can be used with ScummVM for free; I bought it again here digitally for better compatibility.

Having even MORE limitations seems a bit of a backwards step and a slap in the face, especially for those who owned the game already! :(

GOG should repackage the game with the latest ScummVM. Then F1 works and brings up the options menu from where you can change the font, the speed of the text, the volume of the music, sound and speech and quit the game the regular way.
So this still hasn't been fixed yet? :(

I haven't seen an update flag for this, so I don't think so, no.

F1 options working fine for me (win7 64bit). I haven't tried it with ScummVM v1.8.0, what GOG installs (I use ScummVM v1.8.1). http://www.scummvm.org/downloads
