Try this multi-patcher which installs all known patches for Tomb Raider I to V. For Tomb Raider I and II it also restores CD music.

If you want to use a gamepad / joystick. This also works out of the box but only with DirectInput Devices. I'm using a Logitech G710 gamepad that has a switch to choose between Xinput (post 2006 games) and Directinput (pre 2006 games). You then only have to map your keys. By default no joystick keys are mapped. I would use the playstation 1 keymapping as detailed here:

I think you are confused: that patch only works for TR I and TR III. At least, when it comes to GoG version.

Anyway, this patch does not restore music for TR1.
In addition, you need the game CDs for the patch to run.

As to music for TR1,if you mean in game music that never existed in the PC version. That was only in the PS1 version.

The TR fanbase has found a way to implement the PS1 audio tracks into the PC version of TR1:

Unfortunately, the aformentioned fix is incompatible with the GOG version.
