Just want to share my experience in farming for SB cuffs

First i made about 50 Gorgon queens runs and got zero SB cuffs (epic difficulty).

Then i went for 100 runs and again zero drops.

Then i tried this:

1. portal to knossos

2. run all the way to the labyrinth until you get to the last rebirth fountain before the minotaur and telkine (ignore all other monsters)

3. check the monsters just before that fountain:

a.) if gorgons and automatoi, your good to go

b.) if spiders and automatoi, exit to desktop and launch the game again until you get gorgons and automatoi

4. kill only the yellow gorgons and hero gorgons

5. quit and rinse repeat (do not exit to desktop)

this is the area you want:

http://imgur.com/RmhNwXT

after about 5 runs i found 1 in epic (+2 to all skills, 9% elemental resist), and 32 runs, 1 in legendary (+3 to all skills, 9% elemental resist).

1 run only takes seconds

hope this helps some of you

Just because you didn't find SC from the gorgon queens that doesn't mean they are hard to find there. I've been playing the game for years and always farm my SC from the queens. On my last character it took me around 20 runs to find them in normal and epic diffculties and on legendary i got them on the 5th try so... your topic can be kinda missleading to new players. I think on legendary difficulty the queens are the easiest way to find them, because they drop so many green items... not entirely sure but still.

By the way, the green gorgons can also drop SC, not just the orange ones.

this is a guide to help new players and i would apologize if some of them got confused

your right that the queens also drop them because back from TQIT that's also where i used to farm them.. that's why i made hundreds of runs in that area.. but in this AE i just can't seem to find one there

the rebirth fountain is much nearer on this area area than the queens so it's much faster to make runs

i like the game and i want more people to play it.. whenever I'm online i even give random people some extra purple items.. cheers there's also a veteran here.. hope we can help new players
come to think of it i have an extra of this item. if any new player wants one just reply to this post :)

+3 to all skills
9% elemental resist
some + to energy

Maybe you're just unlucky with the queens. As far as i know, the drop rates are the same in the AE and that goes for monster infrequents aswell.

On paper, the labyrinth is a better place, you're right. Still if you're unlucky, you may not see the cuffs for hundreds of runs. Boss and hero enemies have better chances to drop monster infrequents but with the queens, the only problem like you said, is the longer run. Still it's not hard to get them there... either that or i'm just too lucky because i never had a hard time farming the cuffs from the queens. I like to farm the queens because you can get legendary items from them on later diffculties.

If I remember correctly the drop rate from the queens is slightly higher than the one from the hero gorgons (redish and green), but the run through the labyrinth is shorter. So it really comes down to preference more than anything.

man i thought someone was gonna ask for my extra SB cuffs haha
I farmed all my SBCs in the MinoLab. I've had a few drop in the Pythian Caves, but had no luck farming them there.

botebote77, that's a well known way to farm for SBCs.
Hey,

Good tip about finding the Stonebinder's Cuffs in the labyrinth.

I tried farming the Gorgon queens a few dozen times, without any luck.

Then I tried farming in the labyrinth like you said, and in less than half a dozen tries I found the cuffs!

There are also some nice treasure chests in the area to check during the run.

Thanks!
After reading through this thread I tried the MinoLab. Got my first pair of SB cuffs in under 15 runs. Spent the rest of the day with nothing. Those Gorgans don't drop much I have learned. I've got one of my characters set up to make this farming run. I plan on running a couple of times a week and see what drops. Thanks.
Personally, I stuck with the Gorgon Queens + the cave past them. I've found SCs in the Labyrinth too, but the Queens also give you boss loot opportunity with every run. On normal, I can see the Labyrinth being better, but anything past that, I've had success with the Queens.

I also remember getting one to drop in Athens, once you climb the stairs.

Still, I find it hilarious to this date that such a horribly overpowered item remained in the game and was not caught in pre-release testing. Not even IT release did anything about it and it must have been known by that time, that absolutely everyone only ever used SCs for the hand slot.

It really feels like it was supposed to be +X to Earth Mastery skills (especially considering Sentinel's Armband, another hand Gorgon MI, has + 3 Hunting skills) and someone made a typo when creating the item and mistakenly gave it all skills. And especially considering the name - Stonebinder, further indicating it was probably intended to be and Earth Mastery item. As if the person who was assigning properties to the item in the editor missclicked the bonus in the list of options :) And that was a fatal mistake as the hand slot has never been occupied by a different armor piece ever since :P One of the few bad things about the game, that the hand slot will always and forever be the same, no matter the character.

Hi botebote, I'd like the cuffs, if you still have them.
Thank you so much
Not really adding anything, but i thought it funny.... I must have horrible luck, lol. In the 17 years I've been playing TQ, on almost every platform as it was released or i had to relace the game disc, etc. (PC, Steam, GOG, Switch, iOS, and Android), I've found 2x pairs of SB cuffs, both on Android LE edition. The last pair I found took 3x weeks in the MinoLab, and I've never had them drop from the Gorgon Queens. The first pair was a world drop, long after I had given up running the Lab and Queens.

It could be worse. Waaaay worse. You could be trying to farm for Revenant MIs. They drop only from a couple of versions of Gilded Skeletons in act 2 and the drop rates are a fraction of the one for SBs :)

Here is a link to most notable MIs and their drop rates (from TQ+IT, no idea about how it is in AE).
https://titanquestfans.net/index.php?topic=636.0

To get a single Revenant Crown for example, you have to kill 10 000 Gilded Skeletons on average. And they are a pretty rare enemy overall :P

EDIT:
On topic of farming Stonebinder Cuffs, I just scored this great piece. 6 AM in the morning, was about to give up for today and then BAM. of Alacrity!! A bit below the average on the roll (base for of Alacrity is 35%), but rolled 2% higher than base on the elemental resists, so it evens out. Still, getting a pair with a good affix is already extremely hard already and attack speed is one of the best you can get. Incredibly happy right now, as I just secured SCs for any character in the future that requires attack speed :D
