Just lost many hours of progress in Angren because of a broken, bizarre save system. I'm sure I could figure out how the system works, or is supposed to work, but I will not bother.

How hard is it in 2018 to simply save progress? How about creating a save at checkpoints? There's an idea!

One of the 'saves' says return to Angren 11 days ago, but I wasn't there 11 fucking days ago. The other said 3 days ago and both saves are the same progress...beginning of the map. Don't know if that is gametime or realtime. I bet the dev doesn't know either.

Would return/trash this game were it not good otherwise.

Can't agree more with that !

My game crashed, crashing my computer at the same time.
When I logged in again, not only my save file was corrupted but the GOG Cloud Save file was corrupted as well !
How can that be ?

I wrote the technical support and here is their answer

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
I am afraid that we are unable to repair your save file.
As for the GOG Cloud issues please contact GOG.com Support

Here is my answer back:

thanks for your quick answer.
I'm sorry to say the way your company is handling save files is poor and wrong:
A player can not save its game. it is automatically done by the game.
A player can not save multiple times its game.
It means if the unique save file gets corrupted, the player has to restart from scratch.
A player can not even trust your GOG Cloud as this unique save file can also be corrupted there and unable to be repaired.
I have even lost all the benefits (cards, portraits, frames) for the multiplayer game Gwent that I had won playing Thronebreaker.
This is clearly wrong and probably in violation of your own software company regulations guaranteing In Game benefits.
I strongly suggest you fix this and care about the gaming experience of your players if you want to keep them.
I'm also asking you to pay me back the amount I payed for the Thronebreaker game.
I love this game but I do not intend to play it again as long as you don't provide a safe way to protect saved files.
I do not intend to restart my adventure from scratch for the moment either as you can not guarantee I will not loose my save file again and again.
Thanks
Best regards
That is a disaster. The support is terrible. Doubt anyone is reading these forums; they are too busy working on cyberjunk gta 90210.

I have disabled cloud saves and you have to manually backup the saves folder yourself if you want to get through the game.

Gwent and TB are GOG only to lure people away from Steam. They can't provide a simple save system for TB and won't do any support how do they expect to win customer loyalty?

Ok a couple of points here
1) Lure people away from steam? What do you even mean by this? I love Gwent, Witcher (have all 3 games on GoG) anda bunch of other games that are on steam and GoG. I simply use whichever platform the game is on. Nothing "lures" me away or back to either platform. They are simply tools, nothing more. So yeah, not sure if this is fanboyism or what
2) Cyberjunk really? For starters, this will not be a game even remotely anything like GTA, and what does that have to do with Gwent anyway? Nothing. Different team entirely I believe.

Anyway, you sound like the typical whiner who gets mad because games have bugs, especially new releases. Their support is and always has been amazing, you don't know what you're talking about, clearly. They can't magically recreate data from corrupt saves. Sheesh.

Go outside. breath some air. Grab a coffee. Kiss a girl. Something. It's just a game. There are far more important things in life to get upset over than games.

PS I See you are only here since October, so I doubt you have the experience to make any valid claims about GoG or CDPR support.

Umm no. Not even remotely. More like a cross between System Shock and The Witcher 3 actually. Do you even know ANYTHING about the game? Silly question perhaps, since it seems you don't.

You're talking to a user who registered just this month, probably with the sole purpose of belly-aching and quite likely just a troll.
Guess you folks didn't watch the preview. It was FPS cover shooter and a car driving around a city full of crime = codgta.

Only thing it has in common with W3 is the engine.
