... and that's what I read here and there about the game being too easy, even at the hardest difficulty setting.
I know I'd love to play it for the story, the art, the music, the lore.. but please tell me there's some challenge or I already know it will partially ruin my experience of the game.
And that's something I don't want and what's making me wonder if it would be best to wait for a patch or similar.

What do you think ? :)

First thing to do is stop believing everything you read. Some people are naturally disposed to solving puzzles and find those in this game simple. Other people are perplexed by even the simplest puzzle and find those in this game infuriating. Which one are you?
Hey Hickory, that's the reason I'm asking. I wouldn't have if I was believing everything I read, don't you think? :)
Let's just say I always appreciate a game that is challenging, and not the contrary. When a game is not challenging I get bored very quickly.

Thus my question: which one are you?
Its too easy right now, even on thronebreaker (hardest) level.

The puzzles can be hard, becasue there is only one way, but if you get stuck on a few like i did, just use youtube and move on.

But the battles are just too easy. I am winning like 187-10, and I'm no card master, just played some gewnt from W3 a few years ago. This is easier to win than gwent in the W3. Its not even close. I have started limiting myself with a bunch of house rules for it to be competitive.

That said, its still a really fun game, and I recommend it, I just hope they patch it to make it harder.
Game is easy, sadly, no double way about it. Even on Bonebreaker difficulty. Some of puzzle battles could be interesting and require a few tries to crack them but normal battles are very easy. Without spoiling too much, I've ever had to adjust my deck twice in the whole game, prio to what could be called boss battles.

Still, I would definitely recommend Thronebreaker for its great story, music and art. Also, I think I've overheard something about 4th difficulty level in some future patch, but it might as well be some rumor, don't hold me for it.
The Bonebreaker difficulty (the current hardest difficulty) is supposed to be patched to be harder in December, I believe.

@Nilth: it depends on your own skill level. I've hardly played multiplayer Gwent (though I did enjoy and play Gwent in The Witcher 3) and the average difficulty is perfect for me, occasionally challenging without being too overwhelming. But my friend who's played a lot of multiplayer Gwent is bored even on Bonebreaker and is waiting for the December patch.

Well, i'm dumb as fuck but still, Thronebreaker is really easy (well, it was, until the LAST BOSS who let us thinking the IA find a brain somewhere between the previous battle and this one.)

I never been blocked. And that's the issue here. I do all the game without touching my deck, then I hit hard the last fight who just is unrealistic if you don't take some time to understand each card you had - but since the game doesn't ask you to change it, it's like learning all the game for only one battle, instead of getting some battle like this in all the game to let us forced to use a custom deck.

So, tl;dr : yeah it's too easy.
Everybody say it. The IA used the same patern (IA has 7 Card and then pass for the first round. IA has 5 Card and then pass in the second round if you have loose the first raw), it's absoluty not easy to do that.

The game has One month old and 0 Patch - we are all waiting some news/Roadmap/Anything about it, but for the moment, CDPR doesn't talk much about this.
As someone who knows next to nothing about the Witcher series and Gwent. I have to say even on the toughest difficulty, I not finding much a challenge. I'm near the end and yet I've been using the same deck save for a few battles up until now.

Imo I think honestly there just isn't much strategy in the game. Once you have a good deck there really isn't much incentive to change your cards. This for me is what makes t he game boring at times. I've been chugging through simply because of the puzzles and story. Since there really isn't anything much you have to do to win standard battles, it does become quite repetitive and boring
