I was playing and the game always saves over its self automatically... so I can never go backward and redo something without starting from the beginning again... Is that right? Or is there a way to save a game and load that game latter anytime in the future?

That's right. There is only one save file for each profile.

It's because it's built and based around an on-line competitive game, even though it's a single player campaign.

no its not. It is because the game has a morality system for the story.

The problem is that I do not like being forced to play a game a certain way. They could add a "save and load at will" system to the game and it would affect nothing, absolutely zero... people that choose to play the pure experience could simply choose not to load, and save... other people that want like to change their choices could do so. They could even add 2 play modes... one disallowing it and one not..

So do dozens of other games that let you save at will. That's nonsense.
yeah, dozens of other games people get frustrated in and annoyed at for no good reason.

I'm sure this will not be the last thread on this matter as time goes by.

Gamers do not like being dictated to about how they choose to enjoy the games they play. The devs could so easily make it so no one has an issue, putting a save system would make zero difference to other users and not piss off people like me.

I don't get your reasoning here...
Honestly, with the fact alone that you can immediately retry a lost battle/puzzle with no consequence, there's no actual need for a save/load system.

It's almost like a 'penalty' for playing and learning to play. Sometimes I make a choice I wasn't sure of and would like to restart that day's, or even better, that session's game. Why do I have to go back three days...?
