yeah happens to me to i think its just the CPU thinking lol
At first on my old lappy i didn't notice this, but then i started to play on my main PC (which is way more powerfull) and after reaching second map its clearly more evident that game freezes for second or two before each AI turn.
What i found :
Mostly AI chose row that is not affected by any our unit (like trap or our fire) , if you place fire in first and trap on second AI have problem to chose which one is better to place their unit.
Mostly happen on latter stages when nilfgard forces try to calculate bonus from other cards.
Ye niflgard leaders are by far the most laggy ones
So far I also noticed it but only when fighting the Black Nilfgaard scum :D
Yep, I have a very powerful PC and I have these frame drops
Same. Setting fire to a back row seems to make it worse. Having AA forced beyond game's limit via nvidia panel made it tank worse too. Seemed to also happen during card matches with scripted speech. Disabling my AA via nvidia and only using the game's AA helped. Like the effects of the fire were interferring with the AI's ability to reason.

Anti-aliasing. It basically smooths out jagged images and lines.
Find it in graphics options or your GPU control panel.
