Hi again gamesfreak64,
The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable failed to install.
On some machines this Windows update seems to fail to install. You may need to manually install the correct Windows update (KB999226) for your OS.
The exact package you need to install differs depending on which version of Windows you are running and whether or not it is a 32bit/64bit version of Windows.
Rob
Thanks for the info Rob, that KB is indeed the problem, you may have seen in my old posts the large number of vc installed on my windows and i cant take a risk by uninstalling any of them cause then i might get more problems instead of the issues with 3 games.
I can try to get that KB and install it again.
I did notice something:
those 3 games are also available at Steam, the 'fun' part is:
Order of the thorne (AGS game) (steam version) runs without steam once installed i tried the demo and it works a charm, so i got the steam version (4.99 sale right now) i ran that game and i works a charm, BUT the funny thing is if i copy that .exe into the gog installation folder and run that .exe i get the same achievenments error, so i can run the steam on its own in its own folder, but when i run it in the gog folder i get the same error.
I also have Oh sir!!! cause it was out on steam first and cheap so i bought it, it also runs without the client (lets hope they keep it that way) so now i can play oh sir!! and OOTT , BUT not the gog ones i paid cash for .
If and when i buy a game a outlet A thats games has to run, it would be insane to have to buy other versions on other platforms in order to run the game you bought at out let A, that would become very costly.
I would like to have my GOG games fixed cause when i buy a bike i wont return it to another shop that sells biuke, i would return to the shop i originally bought the bike.
As for the achievents things and galaxy extras that will be implemented in many games: this should be 100% optionally, as it is now it is kinda 'forced' and it might cause a game not to run in certain cases.
galaxy and all its 'extras' and 'achievements' were meant to be optional at the first place, if most of the games will require it, the whole optional start has gone wrong.
Thanks again for your help, i really appreciate it, i hope support will be able to help but i fear it wont work, even if i dumped my entire disk image the problem cannot be solved, the thing is that devs should give full information what they use to develop and which libraries are required, if they said it would need a special veriosn of th vc, i would not buy that game.
Same goes for Unity: unity is bad and devs should mention if the game is made in unity , this way i can avoid these games cause 90% of the unity games i have dont perform well.
The good thing is: i have 100s of games that do run properly, i pre ordered full throttle and i pray i wont get the same issue with the vcrun.... cause another 4th game added to the list is too much.
