Hi everyone,

The Steam version of this game and the retail version, even when upgraded to version 1.1, STILL
has the Lockpicking bug.

This is game breaking as I can't proceed.

Does the GOG version have this bug too?

Please let me know as the retail version won't work without the Sneaky upgrade/mod
and Kaspersky is saying that every version now has a Trojan horse virus attached.

What a mess!

Thanks,
Stefos
You have to cap the game's fps to 60, I believe.
did the idea that Kaspersky is simply wrong occur to you?

Yes, it did.

I downloaded the file just fine.......It scanned via Kaspersky just fine.

However when I double clicked on it, Kaspersky found a Trojan horse virus.

Ridiculous

Can you direct me to good software that can do that?

If you're using an nVidia graphics card, there are a couple of possibilities. If your monitor's refresh rate is 120hz, you can set the vertical sync for the game under Manage 3D Settings to Adaptive (half refresh rate).

If your refresh is higher, nVidia Inspector is great for this kind of thing. There's a button at the middle right of the window that opens up lots of options to dig into (and possibly screw things up, so don't change any settings you don't understand). You'll want to go to the Thief 3 Deadly Shadows profile, find Frame Rate Limiter in the list and set it to 59.7.

As for AMD... there may be an option in the driver configuration utility, but I haven't owned a Radeon since they were still ATI so I have no idea, sorry.
I am having this problem on an HP laptop with an Intel HD Chipset. Any advice for frame limiting would be appreciated. Thanks!
