skeletonbow: Sounds like Steam should be more careful about mislabelling games like that then or people may get their hopes up and possibly misdirect their disappointment etc. towards CDPR.
On an up note though, they did release Witcher 2 for Linux IIRC, although I think people said it was a winelib port or something and not stable. No experience with that myself though. Hopefully they do make a native Linux port of the game though, it'd be a huge thing for Linux to get that for sure.
Yeah, guess they should be more careful ;)
They did indeed release The Witcher 2 for Linux - for which they got a second sale from me! I haven't purchased W3 yet but I will as soon as it's released for Linux, you can bet on that!
In resonse to other posts in this thread: Yes, W2Linux was a 'wrapped' (using eON) version that was poor to start with but in the end was, tbh, really good... so good in fact that on my setup (nothing that recent: old, old i7 and a GTX670) it now runs so well I don't really notice any difference to it running on Win (I ran the game originally on Win when it was released - I don't have a Win install anymore)!
Well, lets look at it like this: There's no OS X version either currently... I personally believe it will be coming to both platforms in due course :)
