Goodmongo: I have to laugh sometimes. People think that news and actions should be known the world over. There was no internet. there weren't newspapers, radio or TV. This is like the 13th century Europe. What happened in France was little known ins ay Poland during the 13th century.
So you let Roche kill Henselt. Only the two of you were there and know this. Yet somehow some remote elf band in a forest should know this? How do you expect all of this information to travel around the world?
These small raider camps don't know you. They've never seen Geralt before. How do they know you aren't lying? Why should they trust you? Did the elves send out a telegram with all the defenders if you picked Iorveth's path?
Sorry but all of these arguments fall way flat on the basis of lore, capability and even simple common sense.
except if Henselt is dead, that is all that would be required for news to spread rapidly not who actually slew him. So you let Roche kill Henselt. Only the two of you were there and know this. Also something as Pivital as Nilfguard getting involved you would think the Scoiatel exploit the human in-fighting to their advantage which has not been seen.
