will a 8570 with 1gig of v ram run this game? and why is this such a hard question for my self to answer. low profile video cards are a new subject to me and im thinking of getting a r7 240 with 2 gig vram to run witcher 3 at 720 p mid-high settings. will passive cards such as the two I mentioned be suitable? having 8x pcie slots instead of 16x is such a weird issue for me but I really want to get this computer up to snuff. 720p alien isolation high settings is the most modern game my rig with 8570 can handle and witcher 2 works fine, but these system requirements for witcher 3 are confusing ...why no vram notices?

For Witcher 3 I'd r9 270 is absolutely minimum. There's no way you will be able to play on r7 240. Don't look at VRAM ammount. And with this card you'll still be able to run 720p minimum/low only. If you're going to build new PC I'd say GTX 970 or at least 960 is reasonable choice. Forget about cards you mentioned.
that card is a bad idea u need to tell us all ur parts so we can give u a valid opinion and tell us how much u are willing to spend on a new gpu(skipp the 960 its money wasted)

Are you sure? R7 are pretty old nowdays. Maybe you are right. Can you give me an equivalente to R7 240 from previous generations?

To OP. I am not sure, but I think you will be able to run the game on the bare minimum with 25 fps with 8570.
