It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Unkalibriert: Didn't catch this text of yours before...

Maybe this would be a problem, with the OS partition being to cramped for installing, like operating memory or something... just a guess. We still don't know what can cause the code 7 error, as only the tech team can answer that.
check the pic i attached thats the message i get after every attempted install

I've read that.

One thing other people have suggested: Try renaming the six *.bin-files into *.rar files (change the last three latters) and start installation again.

The files should look like this picture (if WinRar is installed)

ok so i renamed all the files from .bin to .rar and was extracting them
and a message pops up saying that the first file says the required volume is absent
and another message says checksum error in binaries\content\content0\texture.cache. the file is corrupt

so now what redownload the file and pray ?
Huh? Did I just read that you tried to extract the files on your own? That won't work as WinRar should not be able to open these files correctly, because they are encrypted.

I just meant to give the installation one more try after renaming the files, is all.

If that was just confusing, then I'm sorry.

@SlyGamer79
Even though you are not installing to C and nor are the install files stored on C, can we ask how much free space Drive C has ? Unkalibriert eluded to this previously that it might be temp files filling up C unbeknownst to you.

Once we hear what Error Code 7 means I'm sure it will be easier.

That is OK, but where is your temporary files folder located? If it is on "C:\", the files written into it while the installation runs (every installation running on Microsoft Windows places files in that very folder) fill the ssd to the brim and then fail to write any more data.

Maybe you could try and delete some temporary files that aren't needed any more (they tend to get big time with the years). But if you can't tell whether they are obsolete or not, better don't touch them. The temporary file folder can be relocated to another partition by the way.

My temporary file folder (Windows 7) is located in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp.

I tend to just run disk cleanup on my C and i looked there was barely 5MB of temp files on it
the SSD i'm using was 120gb and its 8.25GB out of 111GB free so the C drive is only really for windows 7 64 home

my E however is 257/931GB so at some point i will need another TB HDD
Hm... 8 GB may be really not enough for this. My Windows 7 Home uses 59,4 GB by the way.

If you want to try, you can relocate the temp. file folder onto E:\.

How to by Microsoft
alright moved my temp/tmp folders to E but it will take a bit since i'm redownloading the main exe file since it seemed to be corrupted.

SlyGamer79: when i try part 1 of 7 it says i don't have any files installed

setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28 (1)-1.bin
file not found
check the file name and try again

but then i see installation cannot proceed without the required file

do you want to cancel ?

but i look and it says installing please wait with a rather long install time.
Just FYI, I have never used GOG and had this problem - went back out of the GOG site and downloaded the GOG BETA site- after logging back in using the BETA site my launcher is different and just has INSTALL next to the Witcher 3 title and downloaded fine. Basically I'm guessing I didn't have GOG downloaded on my computer (although I thought I did) because I was able to log in and look at my library etc.
Some people have issues with Galaxy, some without, some with both. But you can't know for sure if you don't try.

Oh and you must have meant Galaxy when you wrote GOG.

I would always recommend manual download through the GoG downloader or file by file with your own downloader manager. Especially if you have limited bandwidth.

I am sure GoG Galaxy will be fantastic but it's not for me, I always want manual. :)
still no luck installing it, its giving me the same damn message

I had same problem and was sent the following email:

Hello
You can download the game using the Galaxy Client:
http://www.gog.com/galaxy
Also you have three other options besides installing with Galaxy:
1) Downloading the installation files with Galaxy. Installation files use a different delivery method, and are usually smaller than the files downloaded during "installation". To do this, find the game in your Library in GOG Galaxy, and click MORE -> DOWNLOAD EXTRAS, then click the appropriate Game Installer file,
2) Using the GOG Downloader. You can find it here: https://www.gog.com/downloader . Once downloaded and installed, please find your game on gog.com in your library, and click MORE -> GOG DOWNLOADER LINKS,
3) Downloading with your browser - this isn't very recommended, as it offers no pausing/resuming, and no error protection.

First thing I noticed was he said three reasons besides Galaxy...but the first way WAS with Galaxy?? Did I miss something?
Second using the GOG Downloader: so I get the downloader and log in but then what? I have no idea how to use it...anyone have help with this?
Third method wasn't recommended...but was suggested? Common...really? Why'd he suggest something but then say it's not a good idea so to speak...

If anyone can figure out this email (and my issue is the exact same as the initial post) let us know..
