I've started playing Witcher 3 on a laptop I borrowed from work - can I transfer my save data to my home PC?

Your saves should be in My Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves, you can transfer them to another computer.

You don't open it,you copy it.
Ensure you are running the same updates on the old PC as the new one. While old saves seem to work with newer versions of the game, newer versions will not work with old...
Hi guys,

I finished W3 on my pc, but now, i want to do clean install of Windows10. Also i have preordered DLCs. So the question is, is it enough to backup only saves? Ofc, i want to play dlcs with my character and equip :)

ty for advices
I've been wondering about this too.

I downloaded the download files to another disk but it installed on my C drive with Windows 81.
I have another SSD that will have Windows 10 on it and I am wondering how to transfer the game over to Windows 10.

Should I use the install files to install on W10 ( but that wouldn't account for the updates since then ) and then copy files from the Windows 8.1 drive?

Is there a list somewhere of all the files and their standard install locations?

You need to have all the witcher 3 files copied, after installing windows 10 use this method :-

Easier way to add installed games.

At the moment only way to add Pre-galaxy installed games is to find the game in your library, click more, click manage and then finally click Import Folder. I found this very cumbersome, not user friendly and easy to miss. There should be an easier way to add games from the main menu like forexample when I click the "Scan and import folders" I should be able to add a specific exe file.

Or an other option like "Import installed games" could be added beneath the "Scan and import folders" option.
