I just arrived in the forrest, and the fps goes from 30 down to 18fps sometimes. The game doens't look THAT good in order to tear down our hardware.

Yes i've tried all the nvidia drivers you're gonna tell me to use, yes i've disabled the 3D driver completly, yes i'm obviously not running uber sample or wtf ever or anything else.

My rig

np8662
nvidia 260gtx 1GB
q9200 3Ghz
4GB Ram

I can play stalker all series with ultra textures, crysis 2, crysis, metro 2033 you name it with my native resolution of 1680x1050 (except for crysis 1).... in this game everything is set to low/disabled with a resolution of 1368x768...wtf???

Your PC must be pretty messed up or you're just setting your options on way too high, try turning off UBER SAMPLING that will kill any PC now

You didn't read my post?

Everything is set to LOW, uber sampling is obviously turned off.

If my pc is messed up, then how come all the OTHER games works just fine?

Did you follow sticky post instructions? uninstall drivers, reinstall without nvidia 3d.

Set the settings to medium and manually disable SSAO, UberSampling and all three DOF options (gameplay, cinematic, cutscenes)

You wouldn't happen to be playing on Windows 7 would you, because 4GB is kinda not enough for it.

Yes i'm on windows 7 and yeah like TigeLord said 4GB is more than enough.

The settings i'm using now is all LOW, i've disabled all the blur settings, ssao ubersampling just about everything is disabled and my fps is horrendous!!?

ssao disabled
ubersampling disabled
all 3 DOF disabled

1368x768, forrest area, fps goes from 30 to 18 fps!!

The windows 7 kernel is not bloated like the early vista ones who sucked your ram for endless tasks of nothing.

No my processor is a quad.

I guess it's true what people said about the issues this game has with Nvidia vid cards, damn I am lucky to have a Radeon.

I am on a Radeon HD 4850, 2gb's ram, dual core AMD processor, Windows XP and the game runs smooth as butter for me but I use custom settings. I disable motion blur and stuff that doesn't help graphics and turn the shadows down a bit and the game runs really fast. Oh by the way I play in Resolution of 1600*900

It runs fine on mine on medium/high settings and I have far from a powerful machine. I have a P4 core 2 quad 2.4ghz, Nvidia 8800 GTX, 4GB ram, Vista 64bit. Once I downloaded the 275.27 drivers, adjusted a few settings, it's running just fine.

there is something wrong with all nvidia drivers I think...
I have a Q9300@3.00ghz and a 560ti oc edition... game does not go beyond 34fps... already tried the 3dvision trick, it did nothing at all to performance... I suspect we will see some new nvidia driver soon...

i found the forest right after the prologue was fine for fps, but when i entered flotsam.. oh boy did it nosedive.
its like the game is constantly cahing data from the hardrive so as i turn around on the spot it stops frequently for a second or so.

game is maxed @1920x1080 apart from no aa, no ssao, no vsync, med shadows/point light shads, no motion blur.

win 7 64bit
4gb ddr2
core2duo 2.6ghz
gtx 550 ti amp. latest beta drivers.

gonna try tomorrow with dof off during gameplay, but the area outside the tavern really doesnt have much dof going on and its near slideshow at times.

Did you download/install the beta 275.x driver that's available on the nvidia site? According to many posters it is a huge improvement for high-end nvidia cards.

I'm using it on a 560ti and it's running smoothly enough in Flotsam. And I even have an old C2D E8400.
