Every time I try to install Witcher 2, I get a weird error right at the end, when the game has been nearly fully installed - after which of course the whol install just disappear :/
Error creating registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/CD Projekt Red /The Witcher 2
RegCreateKeyEx failed; code 5.
Access denied
I tried with the GOG Downloader version, then by downloading all the bins with the browser. I've tried running as administrator, with XP compatibility mode, after disabling antivirus, and even after putting the Account control setting to lowest possible.
Every single time, I get this same error.
I've installed other games from GOG before and never had any problem. I've installed Diablo 3 beta since then and this one installed without any trouble.
I fail to see what causes this issue here.
In fact, I'm also wondering why this game would try to create a registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE because no other game does that, but just uses HKEY_CURRENT_USER (where previous installation attempts already put up a couple of Witcher 2 registry).
